American here. wtf did i just watch lol. Why was it an anime??? It was more woke propaganda than an army ad. You are absolutely right the whole US is pretty divided on politics but honestly on the day to day its not THAT bad. The news overblows it for the most part. Thanks for the video please pray for us!!

Other Military ads: Serious. Shows military experiences. Shows the military. The USAs: Here's this random girl in a cute animated style! Here's her story that is ALL about her and has nothing to do with the military until the last couple of seconds! (In the military they will straight up tell you that neither your gender or sexual orientation matter, you're just a solder now. So none of the stuff in her story MATTERS AT ALL in the grand scheme of the army. The army's supposed to be open to just about everyone who is able bodied and mentally stable, so why show such a polarizing ad? *At the very least* show people from *different* living situations, backgrounds, ideologies, or motivations coming together as one to protect the country (like real life), instead of making an ad that *will* divide people...) We're a joke rn.

I want to emphasize that the US army "ad" was not an ad and was only posted to Social media most likely to gain support from the usually more anti-war minorities. That is not the ads that I constantly get being a male right around that age for military recruitment. Those ads are actually serious and outdo the Russian and Chinese ones.

Yes, the U.S. ad was a terrible joke. While trying to appeal to a minority of a minority of the population who may not even respond to the ad and more than likely would make terrible soldiers, the political tone of the ad will drive away the other people the army needs to stay strong. 👎

It is said you can gauge the state of the country and military by the recruitment ads. When there is a high demand for soldiers, the ads focus on all the benefits of joining the military. When the demand is low, the recruitment ads focus on the challenges of the military to attract only top quality recruits. And when demand is low plus there is a PR problem, the ads serve as pure propaganda. Im guessing that US ads says the military has enough soldiers, and is just trying and fix the military's reputation as racist and sexist.

I have no idea what WW3 is going to be like, so many people were kicked out of our military recently or left by free will because of how their higher ups have been acting There are a lot of families here that have been part of the military for generations and they don’t feel welcome in the army or the marines You should look into it more it’s really distressing

The USA is weaker than it was but it's still incomparable to any other country in the world. Our ability to control or influence global affairs may be weakening as our military weakens, but there is nearly no doubt that the USA will be on the winning side of WW3 unless it turns into a nuclear apocalypse that has no winning sides.

From America..first of all thank you for your prayers. And for this video. It looks like you've been able to wade through the slop a lot of the media places are putting out. As someone else said day to day isn't bad. But I live in OH which is more "relaxed" on some of the things. There are so many divisions between the current state of the country to events to things that are coming to light. That's just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately and many younger generations don't know right from wrong anymore. God bless you and this channel. Please continue to spread the good news.

America i think has always been pretty divided politically, but now we're seeing it divided politically, religiously, race etc. It got worse when Trump was elected, then the pandemic, then Biden, and now we're here in 2022 and nothing is better. I'm just hoping that in 3 years we get a new President and Administration that will actually do something to help the country. I love my country more than anything and hate seeing it like this. Problems need to be addressed and they aren't. I could keep talking about this but i probably shouldn't. I do like hearing your opinions from someone who doesn't live in the States and only sees/hears what's on the news/media. Keep up the good work and God bless you💕

Thank you so much for your prayers for America. You are absolutely right about the “me, me, me” thing. That American army ad was terrible. Honestly it felt like nothing but selfish ambition. Not about defending our country or taking pride in our military. It reminded me of a Bible verse written by Paul, where he says “they will be lovers of self.” So again thank you for your prayers, they much needed and very appreciated❤️

Yes that ad was ridiculous. Honestly…it was most likely created in California. California is notorious for things like this. Fun fact each state has its own defense force (National Guard). So the ads vary by state and also what branch of the military is being advertised. The USA has several branches of the military; Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Corp, Air Force, and the National Guard. Then of course, there’s special/domestic types of defense like CIA, Secret Service, FBI, SWAT, Police, etc. But yea that US. Army ad was absolutely appalling. I’ve never seen one like that before. As far as the USA being divided honestly it was divided ever since Trump came into office. Biden won because people were getting fed up with Trump. With that said Americans are extremely thick headed and don’t like being wrong; even when proven wrong, they have a tendency to stick to their guns. Lol so we are still very much united especially when it comes to the defense of America and it’s allies. Everything else is just politics. We’re not perfect and always stride for some sort of change, be it drastic or not; but in the end we maintain strength and peaceful relations. America struggles from time to time, but in every case we come out better afterwards. Social media is filled with a lot of propaganda and many scenarios being blown out of proportion. It’s the Americans you don’t see on TV/Media platforms that keep us together. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Welcome back Tim! Yeah, ever since social and political correctness began hitting so full swing this past decade or so, we have been experiencing more issues and weaknesses than ever before. In the coming years it’s either going to get much better or much worse so we’ll see. Yes you are right, the US Army ad is focused on Emma so much because they are trying to push social and political propaganda, not anything about what the army does or stands for. I wont get too into it because we both know how divisive some people can be and I’d rather not argue with someone here. Your opinion is interesting and I stand with it. Though I don’t know how much you wanna lean into American politics, if you choose to, I suggest you take a look at Greg Foreman from Black Conservative Prospective, Ben Shapiro, and Brandon Tatum. I believe they are people you may agree with quite a bit from where I believe your opinions stand. They and many others like them can give you insight on political and social news with opinions similar to yours so if you do choose to look further, I strongly encourage it. I recommend you give ‘How American Occupation changed Japanese culture’ by The Cold War. Very interesting topic I looked more into recently. God bless you and I hope this year will be great for you! For the record, Brandon is not gonna wake up. Dude’s a barely walking house plant.

I'm not going to lie, I think your take at the end of the video is pretty bad, but I do agree with you on some fronts. Like others have said, that last one wasn't a US army ad, and instead it was part of a campaign to interview real people in the army and explain why they're choosing to protect the country- it's a symptom of an individualistic society but that is not bad, just as collectivism in Japan isn't bad, neither is wrong. I also disagree that the current administration is doing bad job or dividing anyone (that was the previous administration), but it could certainly be doing way better than it is now. I don't think the US is a place where right to freedom is oppressed in any way, rather a place where people abuse the rights to try to turn it into something it is not, like a right to discriminate without consequence or a right spread harm. We can all do better, and that is both an individualistic and collectivist sentiment. Also congrats on the move to Hokkaido! Hopefully one day you can finally visit Alaska too.

I really don’t think you shouldn’t come to the USA as it is founded on individuality, not homogeneity. Japanese people really value the group over the individual, but that often can drown out the spark of the individual. You’ll find that Americans can be blunt, and opinionated. So you might be called out for making rude or offensive comments. However if you’re not bothered by a blunt discussion or confrontation; then welcome to USA. I’d hate for you to have all these expectations of the USA and they crumble when you visit.

Everyone, what I am about to say is an OPINION, so kindly refrain from yelling, ranting and/or telling me I'm a complete idiot (I already know that). First I disagree that the Biden administration is responsible for dividing the people in the US. The previous administration did its fair share of dividing the people as well. Second,, I don't know when, how or why it started, but the US has become a Us or Them society. Compromise has become a four letter word. Unfortunately for the people of the United States, compromise is the only way to accomplish anything. Unless of course you prefer a dictatorship where the head of state says do this and everyone just nods their heads in agreement. Freedom of speech has taken on the meaning that you can say whatever the hell you want no matter how offensive it may be or incorrect the statement may be. Tim hit the nail on the head when he said it seems like everyone in the US has an "all about me" attitude. I see it every day not necessarily directed at myself but I see how people treat other people. It's shameful and we should be embarrassed that we act that way. There are 330 million people in this country and if we don't start respecting each other and accepting the fact that we may have to compromise at times, this country will continue to deteriorate until there is nothing left. Respect yourself, respect others, and if you can't do that, at least tolerate them. 'Sorry, I just realised that my comment has absolutely nothing to do with the actual focus of this video. The US ad in a word... abysmal.
