I was at the stadium, nice game. Each team had its own half : Japan got first half and Scotland got second half. Real pleasure to have world games cup just a few miles away from home ! well played to both teams

VAR is a joke. Refs making some questionable decisions. Should go to a panel of 3 experts immediately to stop these 5 minute breaks in the game. Its a joke!

I am a Korean, but I have been a fan of Japanese Women team because their play has been amazing. They made No.1 in previous games ( i don't remember the exact year)

A penalty given to Japanese should have been checked to verify. Just my thought is that Scottish player didn’t pull or hold Japanese player in penalty area. She just jumped and touched! I would say 1-1 goal each team tied! Referee kinda needs to be careful!

The position of play gives no help to the ref...easy call you call what you see. Should have been VAR for sure. I also agree no penalty there.

You see just now, how the referee checked penalty for Italy vs Jamaica which is fair. But Incase of Japan vs Scotland, this hasn’t been done. I wish Scotland players had requested for checking VAR!

If you watch the slow motion video of penalty foul, it shows defender pulling on the forward's shoulder. Instead of fouling, defenders in that position should concentrate on jumping higher to head the ball.
