Japan's Struggle With Brown Bears | Hokkaido, Noboribetsu

Within Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido exists the country’s entire population of brown bears. If you travel into the mountains, you can find Noboribetsu bear park, and see these beautiful beasts firsthand. But is this park a place worth supporting? Is it purely exploitative, or are there benefits? After doing some digging of my own, the answer isn’t as black and white as I thought it would be.

Thanks so much for making this. My wife and I are going to Nooribetsu a year from now and I'm glad I have this resource. This does push the limit for me and I think it's best I don't support them.

Good catch! Actually all the music is from the Ori 2 ost. Great game and music!

Bruh this is animal cruelty at its worst. I hate the view of the Japanese on animals. I hope that in the future their view will change...
