At the end Janet looked very emotional, like she was really touched by how her music inspired people and proved that reporter wrong. She's such a beautiful person. And she also looked gorgeous that night!

It was with "The Knowledge" not "Rhythm Nation". But the whole album could still be used as that kind of vehicle.

bc shes human and really believed in doing things that could change. shes human and its good to put cynicism in its place at times bc if something helps anyone, even one, its done its job. well done, janet, you could see her heart fill up. very touching

The 2 girls are Kia and Keisha Croft. They were two girls who had dropped out of school. They bought Janet's Rhythm Nation album and the song 'The Knowledge' inspired them to go back to school. They got a chance to meet Janet backstage at one of her Rhythm Nation concerts. They presented her with their graduation tassels as a thank you for inspiring them to go back to school. Janet found out about their presenting with the NAACP award, she gave the tassels back to them because they earned it.

They dropped out of school and while listening to the song: "The Knowledge" on Rhythm Nation 1814, they understood that education was important. Janet heared about those ladies and proved that her message was strong and NOT USELESS!

"The fact that they went back to school is great, but I never saw that in the video," she said yesterday. "It's always been said that the truth hurts, so maybe she realizes that the video isn't a great motivator for children." - Robin L. Baylor this was her response to this video.... all I can say is that the scent of HATE is too strong to take

Encourage 2 young ladies to finish school and follow their dreams by listening to a song that is not about sex, drugs, degrading women or black people, i'm in my 40's and hear this song encourages me to persue my dreams. hey, my personal motto, "as long as u r breathing, persue your dreams and don't let haters, ms baylor, stop u. much love everyone. werkinwoman83

so you're implying that graduating high school isn't a big deal? if everyone had that attitude, I'm sure a lot more people would drop out because it's not "an accomplishment". Then where would our doctors, our lawyers, our businessmen and women be? please think before you speak, some people aren't as privileged educationally or just aren't that bright, but to say its not an accomplishment is bull shit.
