He went out of his way to do that to carragher! He approached him in the car, put the window down, and started to wind him up and berate him! He didnt have to do it but he wanted to act the tit didnt he? He should be setting an example to his daughter and act like a proper father! Not trying to get a reaction from someone on the road, which he did in the end, and he's up in arms about it!

It's called PR. They're managing it. First thing is an unreserved groveling apology called a "moment of madness". The interviewer makes him apologise a lot, drag him over the hot coals so he can regret and say he's embarrassed, ashamed, devastated. It's damage limitation by Sky and Jamie. It's to take the energy from calls of him to be punished more harshly.

I'm a Man Utd fan and I've met Jamie, he was okay with banter then as we were in an airport together for 3 hours, this is definitely out of character, he generally seems like a nice guy and this was a moment of madness like he says, it's still highly unacceptable

Trust me.. Jamie literally said " hopefully in the next week's or days" (by doing things like this interview) that he can keep his job as if that will somehow vindicate him. Andy Gray got sacked for far less.. just sack the guy and move on sky... Youe bigger than one pundit.

Cannot believe that Sky News will actually pass this off as an adequate interview over this matter, the way this presenter was speaking to Jamie and the questions she was asking were totally out of order, could tell by a long shot she was trying to be difficult, more than once she actually came across in a very degrading manner, asking pretty much the same questions 4/5 times, her whole demeanour was out of order, if Jamie is being considered as an inappropriate role model for the face of sky then what the hell is she?

This lady deserves atleast something, she’s being WAY TOO harsh and rude. Rubbing it in with that tone of voice and making it much worse for him. Everyone makes mistakes in life, she doesn’t really seem “profesional” either. There’s no excuse for his actions however.

Look at this from a different view point. Is this sky's way of preventing him from being sacked? Both he and Neville are their crown jewells as far as their sports broadcasting is concerned, and making him go on national TV to apologise, on their own news channel, suspending him and going in hard on him is their way of showing that he has been dealt with. Obviously they have to show that they do not condone is behaviour. On top of that it is made clear that he has apologies to the victims. I could be wrong, but I don't think he will get the sack.
