Always nice to see the creator grats on episode 100

No idea how close this is to the venue but in Osaka, there is a bar near the almost Vegas-esque shopping district called Untitled. Its a tiny place but the guy that runs it is a fantastic mixologist and loves getting new ideas for drinks from foreigners. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

Great discussion guys and very real. As a suggestion going forward, AZZ should avoid pushing his glasses up with his middle finger (1:01:55, 1:02:22). It obviously doesn't look good, lol. James, if you read the comments, thanks for dropping in on the podcast!! Phantom of the Opera, which I saw in the 80s in LA, lives on around the world even today.

Oh I'm sure they know my feelings on them haha Despite my critiques they sold very well and are likely seen as a big success - especially judging by some of the other dev's responses to the concern on Twitter (they voiced that they didn't think new players could handle a sideboard for example)

@@RedZoneRogue that episode was a bit ranty for sure. I would just think after a 2 hour session of negative on the product in front of the LLP fan base, giving the creator a prompt to allow him to shed light on the decisions would have been cool. Maybe it’s already been addressed and I missed it.

Has JW discussed NOT bringing back heroes with a new version before and I’m just not aware of it? It seemed kind of crazy that was said and there was zero follow up unless that’s been explained already. I got into FaB during EVO but I was about to buy Aria foils for Lexi cards for two reasons: 1. The LL skirmish announcement 2. The expectation that a new Lexi would get printed. I play Azalea but I would have loved to play Lexi when she was legal. I understand I can still get the Elemental, Lightning, and Ice cards assuming a new Elemental talented ranger will be printed but now I’m worried about getting Specializations. If OP specs are the problem should Azalea mains be worried after she LLs because RiTL is insane? Why would JJE get shelved because RiTL was printed before the teams modern design sensibilities?

If it’s just for fun why even by the cards? I can just use proxies at home and if Armories are just to hang out I don’t need to play to do that either. Also sell your cards before your Hero LLs because they might not ever come back

I 100% support proxies but some people also just enjoy collecting and having the genuine article or supporting a game/company they want to see succeed.

It straddles the fun/unfun line really hard right now. This game is super competitive. MST shook up commoner, and outright broke blitz (zen can otk if he top decks some cards). Rosetta is going to add more complexity again. Right now it all fans the competitive flames at the peril of casual players, but its just a season of the game geared at competitive. Casual will get a turn again eventually.
