Some of these were recorded months to year or two prior. Around 2019, e30's would sell 1500-5k; The chip crises and the pandemic boosted prices by alot.

Honestly this has shed new light on Corden for me. A lot more down to earth than what he comes across in other shows/ interviews. He seems to know his cars and that’s always a plus in my book

😁The same face I had test riding my friend's Ducati Diavel 2 years ago.

I like that the e-type has many similarities to airplanes. Even know a airplane fabricator that works on his e-types using the same skills of fabricating aluminum parts you can’t find anymore. He shows up to car shows with the best car every time.

Malcolm Sayer, the designer of the E-Type was an aircraft engineer during WW2.

I delivered newspapers when I was 14 or 15 and a college student had a what I believe a XKE Jaguar . While I was delivering newspapers I saw this car on the street with the hood open . When I saw the engine I was very impressed. And the body was outstanding. I still think it is one the most beautiful cars I have ever seen . It looks fast just sitting!

Jay Leno's car flex is impossible to match. Oh this, its the predecessor to your dream car.

I didn't notice my mouth was open in awe the whole time the 1972 Jaguar XKE was on the screen. What a beautiful car.

Alright, who wants to tell the show's producers that the current value of a clean E30 BMW 325i is not $1500... Multiply that number by 10 and then you're in the ballpark.

@@ZeGermanHam currently a 2008 Honda fit with about 68,000mi. On it. Probably gonna get a second car beginning of next year. My understanding is new cars will probably start Shipping again in the spring.

I absolutely love it! You guys made my day! So funny. A lot of nostalgic moments starting with the Abbey Road album cover which decorated the living room along with other albums growing up.

At 11:15 the expressions are 'we'll cross that bridge when we get to it' and 'don't burn your bridges'. Blending two phrases together like this is known as a malaphor.

You see how these machines rise in value. These are my kind of cars. They are just pricelessly beautiful

This was a wonderful show, I need to re-watch to hear that e-type start up again

"The car you love to wash" That was exactly my thought washing my new car, the curves that go from the front to the back, it is so satisfying

I appreciate a classic car even though I'd never want to own one, and Jaguar that Jay drove was really beautiful!

E30 BMW FOR $1500?? Not in my town baby! LOL. These even the convertible model in that condition start at $6500 easy and much more for a Manual two door hard top. Try $15000.

I remember doing an oil change on a V12 XKE back in day. It took 9 litres of oil - and it went sideways down the road real good :)

I had a 1976, 2002, Orange Coup BMW. Best car I ever owned. $7,000, off the showroom floor. I’d buy another one today! Handled great! Accelerated unbelievably with a four speed stick. Oh I miss it....

What happened

That was so fun! Great guest, beautiful cars, my uncle had that XKE but I'm not as familiar with that 54 Model... then I somehow KNEW earlier that Jay was going to give him that car!!

I immediately googled "Abbey Road" and yup, blue herald at the background just on the top of Paul's head. Mindblown! LOL!

That was REALLY cool for Jay to give James that car. Truly a nice gesture. James is by far my second fav host/comedian, he was my fav but that’s now that tall dude with red hair that shouts all the time, O’Brien. Team CoCo

I owned 2 Rabbits. Both red w/ white interior & convertible top. 1982 & 1989. One of the most durable cars & so easy to work on. I don't have a pic of my 1989, but I will post below my 1982.

I never noticed the Triumph Herald from the Abbey Road cover. Now I look I can see it there, just above Paul's head. Now if they could have got the VW Beetle LMW 281F that would have been something (though I believe it's in the VW museum in Germany).

Jaguar: What more could you ask for? Me: Reliability. You could ask for reliability.

Reliability is relative, I've learned. My sister, to this day, insists Hondas are unreliable. Her car in college was a brand new Civic, and the engine crapped out at around 60k miles. She never did an oil change or coolant flush, she ignored the check engine light for about 20k miles and a "weird noise" for a 1000-mile road trip for spring break. But Honda was the problem.

Here in Germany this Golf convertible has the nickname strawberry basket, because of the safety roll bar.

For the record: That is the *incorrect* E-Type. The correct one is about a decade before that.

My Dad had a Triumph Herald Estate when I was young. Very similar colour. Doing 70mph in it was very exciting.

I had a 1980 VW Rabbit diesel, the 1.5L with 50 whole horsepower. It was a two-door, white, A/C, 4-speed, and I got better than 60 mpg on the freeway at 60 to 70 mph, and she was purring at 65; the sweet spot. That car never let me down, ever, and running around town doing errands, running her hard, I got a solid 45 mpg! I bought it used from an Audi dealer who took it on trade; they practically gave it to me because they thought they would never sell it; in fact, a wholesaler had already put in a bid for $1000; I offered $1200 cash on the spot, and they bit like a starving dog, LoL. At the time, it was 4-years old with 18,300 miles on it, not a scratch. In 1995 a mechanic friend offered me $2000. I let him have it, and he still has it to this day. I need to mention that the A/C took half the wind out of the thing, but on the highway, unless you're are in hilly terrain, it was fine, but around town, be sure to look both ways before pulling into traffic; it takes a bit of time to get going. It's best to turn it off until you get up to speed and kick it on.

The Golf was discontinued in 2021 in the North American market. Only the GTI and Golf R will continue beyond 2022.

My dad drove the rabbit and I drove an 87 golf as my first car. The sunroof had a crank opener and when I drove it in 1997 it had 280k miles on it.

We had a white 1200 estate with red vinyl interior on a C registration.

I remember 5 years ago when some guy begged me basically to buy his e30 coupe for 800€. It was a high price back then for that car and said no. Man do times change…

this was the first car i remember my father having in the driveway... but, not an automatic lol. a champagne convertible. still one of my favorites.

My dream car is a black on black 1971/72 Charger RT with a 440 Magnum with the hideaway headlights. Well also a black on black 1970 Cougar eliminator as well.

Two genuinely funny guys...great entertainnent...and fabulous cars too.
