Young fella. Remember he is begging the woman to not leave. So he falls on his knees begging her to stay. Everything is part of a show. If you wanna hear him watch the collaboration of James Brown n Luciano Pavarotti singing it's a Mans World. If you havnt already. Absolutely fantastic
What are you watching is the most famous routine and all of rock ‘n’ roll and soul and whatever else you want to pick. Please Please Please call recorded in 1956 and it was his first hit a James Brown and the Famous Flames. Around 1963 he started to do a routine where they would throw a towel on him and he saw the reaction of the crowd so they started to use capes. He got the idea from Baptist preachers and also from Gorgeous George wrestler. He performed this routine, singing the song with different arrangements until he passed away in 2006.
I just have to comment on some of the things you said....WE DID do something and fought every inch of the way....we didn't accept.....if we accepted the injustice we would not be where we are today....and today we are still fighting
And another thing he was called the hardest working man in show business because he would perform up to 330 days a year, sometimes doing 2, 3 or 4 shows a day. And he would perform like this at every show.
I don’t understand how young people have this idea that things are so much different, there are places right here today in this country where the same thing still applies, sundown cities if you’re of a certain race, so stop thinking things have gotten so much better, the same fight and racisms that people have been fighting for decades are still the fights that are being fought today, I was born in the 60’s and I see the same things play out today so don’t get a false sense of security believing this country and world has changed and you’ve achieved equality, this fight and struggle continues, just being real……
The ultimately begging song! Watch his biopic with Chadwick Boseman, “ Get On Up” , and you’ll see origin of the cape drama! ( he got it from a flamboyant preacher he saw as a kid). Watch the rest of the video where you get to see the crowd going nuts. ❤
James Brown said he was a janitor in 1955 when he recorded "Please, Please, Please" and the record company didnt want to record it. It became an instant hit. Of course this footage was from1964.
Hi, hey Please, Please Please is from-T.A.M.I. Show is a 1964 concert film released by American International Pictures.[1] It includes performances by numerous popular rock and roll and R&B musicians from the United States and England. The concert was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 28 and 29, 1964.
And in My humble opinion there is quite a difference between appropriation and appreciasian❤❤❤❤
Saw this in the movies, back in 1964
And when he would fall on his knees and they would cover him with a cape, but then he would come back, it was like what you would see in the Baptist church. Only he turned it into a lament about a woman.
He did the I give my all's you have never heard it, he smoked Ballads! Dig it up 😊 Wrong! He can sang!!!! You don't have to understand it enjoy it,son😂
Wish you had played the entire 4 song JB set here.....here's a little history.....this is the T.A.M.I show....this was 1964 movie concert featuring the top acts of that time....the Rolling Stones were the closing act....JB was next to last....after JB finished Mick Jagger of rhe Rolling Stones was sick to his stomach and said how are we gonna follow this Btw....JB was one of the inventors of funk and MJ and Prince and a whole generation copied his dance moves...if you had played his entire 4 song set you would have seen his foot work....also don't get it twisted....JB could definitely sing.....his early music from the 50s mostly were ballards
Hes tore up about his girl. Hes begging. Please please please
Fear make you hate!😢
"James Brown can't sing"??????! OMG! Bro!!!!! Try to do "Living In America " karaoke. He had a tenor type voice... What he did wasn't easy. Do more James Brown research. Listen to his interviews and his opinions on his music, showmanship, and his life purpose.

Why do you think people hate james brown. I am a 67 year old white Canadian from the East Coast of Canada. Which back in the day? What's quite racist and to be honest some areas still is. But I i first heard James brown from other white teenagers and we were really young like thirteen or fourteen And we were doing a dance called the popcorn two james brown papa's gotta bring new bag. I don't know or haven't heard anything about people hating james brown😮😮😮

Patricia you're gaslighting. Your specific anecdote doesn't negate the real issues faced by Black people in America, especially during the time James Brown was in his prime. Don't minimize the experiences of a whole community, because you didn't personally see it or know of it. It's quite disrespectful and part of the problem. He said what he said.

1917 it was legal to hang black people just because. A whole community could be destroyed/burned/hung within the law, so you took it.
Here is that entire JB performance kzread.info/dash/bejne/aGF5krpretupo5c.html
But that works two ways also because back in the day when the righteous brothers sounded So soulful and people thought they were black initially. Do you think they had it easy? They got b******* from both sides because white people didn't like they sounded black and black people didn't like that they sounded black either 😮😮😮😮
