Every time I watch James, it just shows me how much of an influence he is on MJ. I look at man in the mirror live performances and mike spins, runs in place and drops to his knees continuing to just sing with such passion no mic stand needed

I don’t think you guys understand, this is the single greatest routine in the history of rock ‘n’ roll, Soul or whatever you want to say. And just so you know he died on Christmas day 2006 at the age of 73 cardiac arrest.
Michael Jackson was 25 years younger than James Brown. As a matter fact Michael Jackson said that James Brown influenced him more than any other performer.

James Brown died on December 25, 2006 of congestive heart failure, from complications of pneumonia. He was 73 years old. Brown was buried in a crypt at his daughters home in Beech Island, South Carolina.
James Brown was a great stage performer. The only one who could really match him back in those days was “Mr. Excitement” Jackie Wilson. P.S. - James Brown was 73 when he died. He was born in 1933. MJ wasn’t born until 1058. James Brown was one of his heroes. By the way, if you want to see a video of James from his more funk oriented period (1971) check this out: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y6Sqq8Orh5beeMo.html

Pearls before swine
James Brown not only was a great musician, but he was a great stage performer. He is the father of Modern Music, Rock'n'roll, stage performances, and screaming audiences. Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, AC/DC, etc. all modelled on him, and bands still do so today.

It’s JAMES BROWN & THE FAMOUS FLAMES….not just “James Brown”.
And to think The Rolling Stones had to follow him at this show.

I think James Brown died of pneumonia. You watch the rest of that video.
I pretty sure he was sorry.
Man are you showing James brown or goofing off( guy with the locs). It was funny at first but too much. Very disrespectful. And did he by committing suicide??? Really? You guys need to do your research. One of the greatest performers of all time and you don’t know anything about him. Thanks for sharing but please do some research before you show great artists.
