I been listening to this song a lot recently and also been trying to find a cover that does it justice. This captures the emotion of James Brown’s work the best out of anything I’ve seen on here so far, good stuff man and keep it up

I guess you'd have to say I play piano just a little bit! I play just enough to put some chords behind songs that I hear in my head!

Hi THE_TRUE_MOE, wow thank you so much fo your great comment. Really glad you enjoyed it. As far as excercises - warm up before you sing - humming, trills etc. There are many good vocal excercise videos on KZread. Check some of them out and good luck!
