I had a friend of a friend call me up randomly one day, sobbing, saying that if I didn’t come get her daughter that she was going to hurt her. The tone of her voice sent chills down my spine. I kept her on the phone while I left work and told her to put her child in the room and go to another part of the house and wait for me. It took me 15 mins to get there and I was praying the whole time that they were ok. I got there, calmed the child, rocked her to sleep and spent hours talking to the mom. She was so overwhelmed and sad. Idk she decided to call me, someone she barely knew, but I’m so glad she did. I’ll never forget that call or that situation. We need each other. All hands on deck when it comes to these kids. If you’re feeling like this please reach out! To someone, anyone. And if you’re called, please take it serious and respond asap. Bless these babies. May they Rest In Peace.

Know what else exists? a belief in Christianity that children below a certain age automatically go to heaven no matter what. Many people who have killed their children admitted to this being the reason. So get rid of this belief and these type of things wont happen as often.

The struggle of single motherhood is real! I know some of the thoughts that can occur because I’ve had them. I love my child with every ounce of me but being a single parent is NO JOKE! I didn’t get pregnant until I was 30 and then my daughters dad died two weeks before her first birthday so I was forced into being a single parent and not a day goes by I don’t wish we had her daddy back. Unfortunately it is near impossible to find a village. Do you know how badly single Black mothers are judged and shunned??? Every single thing we do is met with some sick interpretation of us trying to "get ahead" or "use the system" when all we are looking for is help. Your family abandons you, the other parent is mia. We put too much pressure on mother. They don't eat or sleep. Their entire lives resolve around providing for and taking care of their children. I know a mom now you drinks herself to sleep every night then gets up and goes to work. She picks up her kids, drops them off, then goes to her second job. And how is her situation seen? Instead of applauding this women for working too jobs, she is immediately a drunk. She shouldn't have had those kids. She should have done this or that. You cannot win here.

I remember this happened to me. My oldest son was teething, and he just wouldn't be quiet. This was my rainbow baby. I lost a child prior to him almost close to my 3rd trimester. I've never gone through this before, I tried everything, and he just wouldn't stop crying. I yelled at him, and he cried louder then I cried. I called my mom and told her I needed her to come get him, because I wasn't thinking straight. She talked to me and came to give me a break. I was so thankful for my mom in that moment. My son was born premature and he fought a battle to even come home to us. How could I feel that way about him knowing I prayed for him to live and fight for me. I couldn't lose him like I lost his brother. The mind can get the best of you. I didn't realize I was suffering from postpartum depression. He is now 8 and I have a 2 yr old as well. My whole world. Glad you made it through : )

So happy you both got help. My baby never cried as an infant except once. On day 6 of his life, he was constipated and never pooped. The intensity of his screaming and knowing it was pain causing it was horrible. I didn't want to hurt him but the emotions I felt were overwhelming. I will never forget it. I think about mothers of babies who have colic and I pray for them. It must be unbearable 😫 So glad you both had the strength to ask for help. Also glad my now ex husband was there, I was crying too because I couldn't help my baby. It sounded like he was being murdered. He finally pooped and never cried again for about 9 months. He was so easy. My pediatrician didn't believe me when I told him my son never cried. It sounds like cap but he was so content and happy. He whimpered a little bit and open and closed his hands when he was hungry. He would wriggle when his diaper needed to change. Now he is 16. Still the easiest child ever.

Girl...I'm so happy I have my dad and my husband because for some reason my mom don't take stuff like this seriously. She's the "snap out of it type" I called her one day when I was feeling like this and she would not budge. She wouldn't come, I couldn't drop my baby off nothing. She said give her two weeks...I didn't have two weeks and as a woman I thought she'd understand and I was afraid to tell my husband how I was feeling and he was so far away on work so I called my dad. He left his job, came and told me go take a shower and lay down...now my dad is 6'7 and tbh I used to be scared of him because he was big burly mean construction worker man lol but he came. He cooked...he kept that baby until my husband came home and we all sat down and talked and it felt like I wasn't holding my breath anymore. It takes a village...I'm so thankful for that.

It’s not just about fathers. It’s the womens fault too! Gotta know who u r having babies with and it’s best to be married. If this child support crap didn’t exist I bet there would be less women having children. Stop having sex b4 marriage and wait… it will weed out a lot of no good men and pregnancies. Only real men will be fathers like they are suppose to and it won’t be hard to find if women set boundaries with these men. Men need to do the same as well.

@Linda Lowther why are you going back and forth with me and being petty. Yes I am speaking for the comments that only is talking about men. The guy jus said this is due to fathers not protecting there families. That comment was strictly about men. I was saying it’s not just the mens fault. Just like when women complain about a man not tending to his kids after they break up or even if they don’t have kids… jus not being a good boyfriend or husband in general. U can’t blame the man all the time. If this situation has to do with a no good father than women need to pick better men and wait until marriage. Ppl need to stop fornicating and then their would be a lot less bad things happening period! I know what I am saying. I never said all of the peoples comments were just about men because they are all not! Everybody is not saying the same exact thing! Ppl can ask where the father is but like I said, if daddy ain’t right then women need to pick better men and close their legs until marriage. I am not downing this woman because we do not know the whole situation and if the man was in the childrens lives or not.

@bestself Interest I can attest. Came from a victim blaming family, where the women routinely scapegoat men. When my father passed the 31 of August, I could see where the women felt an entitlement over him more than they felt he needed to be a father. What's more, this past year, black women had to be confronted with Breonna Taylor (no justice) and then none stop coverage of black males, who should be our father's and protector's(but don't show up like that for we women), being brutalized by the institutions that work hard at keeping white women like Lori Vallow intact. I'm sorry, I'm gonna say this woman probably asked for help over and over and folks treated like she "complained too much" or "was too loud" or "angry". When a black woman does this, her circumstances were extreme.

Spirits take control of people and because they are weak spiritually they can not fight off the negative thoughts or feelings. This is why we need God in our lives. For, “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus‬ ‭14:14‬. We need to pray for each other and repent our sins. For sometimes we may not know what we have done after we have done it. This is why we must “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:11, 13‬

@@franeccher1709 I'm assuming you specifically used the phrase "free benefits" because she's black. That's low of you but I digress. I was more so implying preventative measures or programs. I don't necessarily know what makes people snap but they must all have something in common.

This literally brings tears to my eyes because as a mom of 3 I know what she may have been feeling at times. I feel for her children and her because even ppl outside the family know how much she cared for her children. Depression needs to be discussed and taken more serious because we’ve all experienced it before. And we shouldn’t be afraid to talk about those intrusive thoughts that pop up while we’re stressing with our children.

I took them everywhere I went and if kids wasn’t allowed I didn’t go. Thank you God for a praying grandmother that is gone and still praying over us.RIP sweet babies

Like someone else said,,you never know what goes on behind closed doors,,which means No one never really knows the real story all the time either,,you can never be too sure..I mean, what if she was dating someone and the guy she was seeing did something to her children and then she got accused? Or what if someone invaded her home, had her hostage and did something to her kids and then she got blamed...any scenario could be imagined...I don't believe every single story about parents killing their kids🙄she could've been accused and forced to confess to a crime she didn't do.

As a mom with ppd, I know how hard it is to hide the anger & hurt you deal with on a daily but I've learned to control my thoughts so I can raise my babies right. The ages are unbelievable. She should've gotten mental help a long time ago. It's important that when a parent asks you for help, HELP! It's extremely hard dealing with feelings of wanting to hurt yourself or someone else especially as a single parent.
