Yeah, but Jacques *teaches* how to properly use the knife while cutting the bread. He also illustrates how to utilize *everything* so there's no waste. I actually would appreciate more simple tips, tricks, hints on getting back to the "basics" because we are gunna *need* those long forgotten techniques. @@marshalljimduncan

I watched his technique and as he said you can add herbs. I put a couple of cloves of garlic in the oil/butter, tossed the bread also ever so slightly a bit of Italian seasoning. Great on a salad. Jaques Pepin is absolutely the best! Thank You Chef!!

He reminds me of my late dad, who was a pretty good home cook.

Jacques is such an amazing chef and person. Loved watching him on tv when I was a kid.

Oh yes, I cut slices of baguette, put on a tray, add grated cheese on each slice, in the oven on grill 5 mins and uses them as a side for soup 😋
