Finally no more tire rubbing! Throwing some air shocks on the Chevelle and getting the stance just right!! So much to come.

wow just wow, those iowa salted winter roads show no mercy. I lived in West Union Iowa early 70's, my folks station wagon rear quarter panels both rusted out from the salted roads and fell off the car, it looks even worse under the hood. My dad left it in a gully on our farm, it literally rusted to nothing after a couple more years. Thats a real nice Chevelle worthy of saving, I hope your able to do a frame off and remove all that rust.

Nice Vid my dude, I am working on my 71 El Camino and this is the perfect reference. I bough the same shocks and I am about ready to toss them on. My Elco had them on at one point but someone removed them. The metal air lines were left behind but unfortunately I could not find the proper fitting to work them in with this set so I am starting from scratch.

Just use a piece of pipe to roll the inner wheel well. Air Shocks are out, they ride hard but if you must put the valve in the trunk out of the weather. Also the upper Shock Mounting spot best be strong or the Shock will blow a hole right into the trunk. You should have put new taller rear springs for a bigger lift, the rear, spring perches are much stronger then the rusty sheet metal your mounting them upper Air Shocks to.

I know this was about 4 years ago but your not bottoming out because of your shocks is cause your piece of shit springs are clapped the fuck out AIRSHOCKS DO NOT make your car bounce like that they stiffing the ride a little an if you've ever rode in a vehicle with out shocks this is how bouncy your ride will be

Springs are definitely wore. The wheels also had a very negative offset making them stick out anyway. Car now has different wheels, no more spring spacers, and is tucking tire.
