    That's a stupid comparison. The only way he would be Pete Best is if he got booted from the show before they ever got successful. Jackie was an integral part of Howard's success and paved the way for that fat junkie Artie.

    In my opinion (because I love Artie) it dipped after Jackie left and then reached the same high of the Jackie years when Artie joined. Then a few years into Artie's time there (sometime between 2003-2005) it peaked and was all downhill from there. Fell off a good damn cliff after Artie actually left but definitely was already in decline before

    Money is everything to Jackie, he was obsessed with it and was always scheming to make more and save more. He left because he's highly delusional and egotistical, he thought he had leverage over the show to extract more money, because to him he's the funniest man in the world. Surprise, surprise no other show wanted him and Stern called his bluff and decided he wasn't worth the money. Jackie made one of the all time blunders in showbiz history, it must have absolutely killed him to lose so much money I think he even asked/begged to come back and Stern said that ship had sailed.

    Loyal fans? How come Jackie hasn’t been able to sell out a theatre in 20 years? 😂 There are youtube kids with a more loyal following. Jackie did literally NOTHING after the show. Think about that. The ‘head writer’ for such a massive show can’t get anyone else to pay him for his old joke book jokes. He never understood that he was on Stern because he is delusional and it is fun to goof on guys like that. Just like ETM, who also had a lot of opportunities waiting for him outside of the show but, somehow, was completely unentertaining unless Howard was controlling things.

    It is so painful to listen to Jackie when he returns. He's obsequious to the point of fawning. Maybe because I have never found him funny. Think of all the great comics- Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy Don Rickles and more recently Sarah Silverman - have you ever heard any of them tell a joke or short story containing a joke and once the once the punch line is delivered they laugh before tge audience does and harder. Jackie does that after every joke. " Did you ever hear about the guy and his wife blah blah" " ha haha ha ha. And last his jokes sick - normally crude with f this and f that. No imagination. And he doesn't talk he tells. Don't ever bring him back.

  • @silversnail1413

    @silversnail1413

    Sarah Silverman is about as funny as an infant with a malignant brain tumor. Jackie is a hack who tells corny jokes but he's self-aware about it and that's part of his entire appeal. And although it's hard to believe Jackie actually does get a certain amount of respect in the comedy world, he was in the Friars Club and a lot of huge comics have shouted him out over the years.
