Jackie wrote one joke and the punchline is "No ketchup!". He claimed ownership of the Reagan Alzheimer joke he told Patty Reagan, but again, he stole it.

I saw a video of Rodney Dangerfield on The Tonight Show from the early eighties and he told the "read his first book" joke, but Jackie wrote for Rodney for a while, so maybe he did write it, but it seems like it's such an obvious hacky joke that it had to have been out there long before that. I loved it when Robin said "these are jokes that I know" and Jackie replied "they're my jokes, you know them because you know me". 🙄

Jackie badgering the audience when they don’t laugh is exponentially funnier than any jokes he ever said on stage

None of the jokes he used were his. He only wrote the very last- "No Ketchup!" He also did not write the Ronald Reagan joke that he told Patty. One would think a head writer would write something significant during his life!

Jackie is a fraudulent comic. He fooled Howard into thinking he already had success by making those fake lps in his basement. The laughs are fake, the jokes aren’t his and his mom paid to press the albums.

Jackie was great on Stern, but because they ragged on him. His comedy is hack. It’s funny how so many hacks claim they wrote the terrible, easy premise jokes they say.

That Q joke is a variation of an old joke. I knew a fat guy who was friends with a skinny guy and I told them they should go out for Halloween as the number 10, which I'm sure I heard somewhere else.

The joke is the kids mother asked "What do you say?" expecting a please and thank you. But the girl demands no ketchup instead. Its a really weak joke.

What I never got was Jackie was a brilliant fast witty guy who wrote hilarious shit for Howard on the fly, yet went on Star Search his big break and did lame old ass hacky jokes (which is why he lost, the judges gave the other guy credit for at least having original material) and his standup act was always a joke book montage. Why didn’t he ever write an original standup act for himself???

Jack really was a terrible comic. Go check out that movie Comedies Dirtiest Dozen that Jackie is in. Omg he is soooo bad. Rapid fire joke book cracks, laughing over his own punchlines. The crowd eventually stops laughing and he starts berating them. After they laughed generously for every other comic, Jackies style eventually wore thin and they were looking at him in shocked silence. So he starts yelling at them lol. Like its their fault, not his rapid fire hacky delivery! He was too much.

Telling corny fat jokes was already old when Jackie did this set. I find his act as out of touch as a vaudeville act. But his writing on Howard was excellent so there's this weird disconnect. All those free plugs PLUS a TV commercial twice an hour on E! couldn't sell those CDs.

@@drewgeraci8434 His writing on Howard was god tier. He had the knack to write a quick line or cutdown on somebody or a situation in a spiteful funny way. Mostly all of Howards funny mean lines about people from those days were written by Jackie and I agree, its very strange to think of the two talents side by side. His standup is soooo bad.

@Stranded NYer The balls Jackie has to claim credit for the "You're Mama's so fat.." jokes. I heard those in the early 70's and was certainly, to me, a Black creation.

While this clip represents some of the best Howard Stern ever it is still funny to hear Howard talk about sweetened laughs when he pays Robin millions to laugh at everything. 😂😂

Steve O would go on to make Kung Pow: Enter the Fist; several Nick cartoons; and worked with Jim Carrey for many years. All while Jackie claims he invented jokes that elementary school kids have been telling each other for decades.
