“Don’t be afraid” never have I love and hated a character like him. But when he died I cut not stop crying.

I will never forget the words of Ragnar as he faced the pit of death and still thought about Ivar and his sons; the scene still gives me chills: "It gladdens me that Odin prepares a feast. Soon I shall be drinking ale from curved horns. There I shall wait for my sons, soon to join me. There I shall bask in their triumph. My death comes without apology, and I welcome the Valkyries to summon me home."

@Ruben Feneser The thing is there are Vikings fans that aren't just Fanboys who love the show for what it is and not Just a specific character, when Ragnar and Ecbert died it turned into pure modernized Fantasy.....You Ivar and Bjorn fan boys fighting all the time about who's better and don't really care about how the plotting and storylines are going, that's why there's alot of comments saying "the show died with Ragnar" bcz almost everything after doesn't really make much sense......

Ragnar : "Be ruthless...." Advice taken.

The fact that Marco and Alex cried for real in Ivar’s death scene ( the part where they said goodbye to each standing in the battlefield was improvised, it wasn’t in the script ) you could really sense the depths of their real life friendship despite having been portrayed as “enemies” in the show. l’ve hadn’t seen anything so intense in a long time, and l still cry every time I watch that scene . Cinematography, music , set design and costumes was just phenomenal.

I cried more for Ivar than for Ragnar, Lagatha or Bjorn all put together.

Ivar's character is the best in the last seasons after Ragnar. I can't believe my eyes and I'm glad I am able to watch this. It is the best video/tribute I've ever seen, on any character whatsoever, in all the years I've been on KZread. And 8 minutes ! What a godly work ! The first part is haunting at first and tragic at the same time. The build up you created in part 2 is as intense as it could have been and the editing is breathtaklingly perfect. The song ending at 3:05 with his quote cutting at the same time is insane as well as the drop at 3:22. You have a feel for the music which will always be a mystery to me, the whole rythm in the ending of part is INSANE with the "loose", "burn them alive" and the "again!" : WHAT THE F*CK ! The last two parts are a true emotional piece of art. Him killing his wife has always been such an amazing moment but intertwined with other scenes in here is making me teary. Ivar's speech at 5:35 before dying is even better in here with the music, a breathless moment... my heart has never beaten so fast in front of a tribute video. 6:31 "I was a cripple too... I wanted to die" with Ivar's hand movement is art. Heartbreakingly emotional and beautiful. This last part is edited on the point ! So many things to talk about from this but so little words to describe them. Thank you for making this, your understanding of the character feels personal and authentic. This is what the character deserves as tribute. A masterpiece (as always) but even more ! Thank you so much for the desc 💖

I saw many "stories" about Ivar the Boneless and finally someone who did best with cut scenes of finall battle Ivar with great music. You will never disappoint with your movies thats why I like IT! Please lets make another one from Vikings main characters! :)

My favorite character. So megalomaniac as a teenager and later sensitive. Love the broad grin. Reminds me of my older son,. What a beautiful face

He managed to make me hate him. Wich is axactly what he was suppose to do. Amazing acting.

I think I need to cry right now. Thank you for giving Ivar the tribute he truly deserved. You shown him as an angry boy, a vulnerable man, a fierce warrior, a loving brother, a brilliant mind, a father figure... a legend. 🖤 Hail King Ivar the Boneless, I'll never forget you. Special mention for Alex Høgh Andersen who has been masterful and absolutly incredible all the time.

While the story might not completely reflect history, a lot of what happened, actually happened in history.

I am absolutely speechless. Never have I seen a video so beautifully crafted about a character. The editing was masterful, music choice was perfect. THE CHILLS given throughout were insane. Masterpiece.

The relation that Igor and Ivar, Hvitserk and Ivar shared with each other ....❣ Loved the potrayal❣

After Ragnar, this show simply could not have been as good as it was without Ivan the way he was portrayed. Carried the back end of this show with Bjorn. But imo, carried significantly more weight than Bjorn. Masterpiece of a show, and masterpiece of a tribute.

Even though i haven’t watched the show yet this video pleased me so much! This editing is far too good. From the choice of music to every scene you chose you’ve captured something unbelievable. You’ve topped the perfection you already had achieved. Definitely the best tribute to the show and the character that could have been made. Breathtaking from the beginning to the end.

Ivar was such a unique and incredibly complicated character! I know that there will be some who will find “flaws”, but to make a tribute like this one, took serious thought and work. A valiant feat, worthy of Ivar the Boneless!

I love watching these fan edits and so far I would say this is the best edit that had portrayed a characters story from begining to end so well. I would even have understood and had been inspired by Ivar the Boneless just by watching this video even if I had not watched the show.

Ivar was the best character he kept the show going and made it that much more interesting to watch cause we all know he was unpredictable Ivar is truly a legend and will never be forgotten it threw me off when he got prison stabbed thought it would have been by the king and his sword either or it was sad but we all knew it was coming I guess he was tired of fighting like Ragnar and was time to go home to Valhalla Ivar was human after all and had a heart all he truly wanted was to be loved skol in Valhalla your legendary and will never truly die Ivar the boneless your a legend and you will always be among us that still live and breathe because legends never truly die you Cary on your legacy
