This video as so hard to make, you guys have no idea, but in the same time, it is satisfying to finally be able to bring a full tribute of Ivar the Boneless. I really tried to explore all the conflicts and the doubts of Ivar, his relationship with his brothers, with Freydis, his wife, with Oleg. Ivar is such an interesting character, perhaps the most interesting of the sons of Ragnar, i really enjoyed making this video so i hope you will enjoy watching it.
PS: this video is dedicated to my friend Nate, i talked with him many times about Vikings, he is like me a great fan, and i hope you will appreciate this brother!

Actually the point was Ragnar fulfilled each of his dreams through his sons. Ubba found the true promise land for his farming dream (America), Ivar became the most feared viking arguably of all time, Bjorn became the greatest viking leader of the time and Hvitserk metaphorically became Athelstan. The point is, every dream Ragnar attempted to manifest in his time alive on the show, was completed fully by his sons, which he even prophecies in his death scene.

This is just my opinion. I believe that Ivar learnt the most from his farther when he was at his lowest, towards the end of his journey in England. I believe that Ragnar wanted to cause so much chaos due to the many betrayals in his life, he despised everything and everyone but no longer had the strength to do anything about it. He felt broken, not only due to his own mistakes in the past, but also due to the pain of his actions. His advice to Ivar was primarily to be ruthless, which I believe Ivar took at heart the most. Ragnar perhaps felt that during his time, he perhaps wished he had the strength to be ruthless, but instead there were many times he had let his heart and trust dictate some of his actions towards the end. Which led to many betrayals and hurt. Ragnar wanted to see the world burn and England was the roots to it all, and Ivar perhaps unconsciously picked up on this and this became what we know of Ivar, who also carries around his own sense of pain which he masks as anger and ruthlessness.

In the Viking TV series, this is surely true ! But ,this is fiction and entertainment, which is fine.... However, the real Ivar ( Ivarr Ragnarsson ) which died in Dublin, Ireland in 873, had no problem with his limbs.... he was a WarLord , called a berserker, and died from a very ''sudden illness'' which was surely dysentery , which was very common in that period ! He didn't die in ''battle '' where most people, today, would have prefered..! He fought mainly in Scotland and Ireland.

However, she doesn't let her disability get a hold of her, instead, did everything a normal person could do with her cranes, even better than most of us. People who say Ivar is just a psychopath really just think like simpletons. His character is so in-dept and complicated, his character progression with the Russian empire just shows his humane side. Him marrying and listening to that bitch was the beginning and end to his short-lived downfall. Ivar is both weak and strong mentally and his 'love' knew this and used his weaknesses to solidify her place as queen. I am so excited for the next season to see how he progresses further. Honestly one of my favourite characters in television history, who btw is also portrayed brilliantly by his actor. Agree or disagree tell me what you think.

Only certain people can understand ivars character and appreciate him 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s like people seem to forget that he’s literally unable to walk, totally crippled from the waist down? He needs to be who he is or people in his world would never respect him. He’s also incredibly smart as well as having great wit.. he doesn’t get along with most of his brothers because they teased and bullied him growing up? Now we’re meant to feel sorry cause ivar rose above them and become better than his brothers despite not being able to walk.... The ones who don’t like ivars character are shallow minded or just simply forget what it would be like in his shoes 🤷🏻‍♂️ Edit: Most people loved and respected Ragnar yet never mention the fact that it was Ragnar who planted the evil seed in ivars mind.. in England before his death he literally told ivar to be RUTHLESS.. and that’s exactly what he did. He LISTENED to Ragnar and everyone forgets that

The son Ragnar wanted to dispose of but saw greatness in his eyes. I can say though, Ragnar knew Ivar of all his sons had more him in him than the others. As much as Bjorn was a good fighter he was more of his actual father Rollo than Ragnar, great fighter but one with little brains as it pertains to war tactics. It’s sad it had to come to Ivar destroying Bjorn, but it was one that needed to happen to propel Ivar in his rightful place as the face of Vikings. I have a feeling Floki is now a Christian who will be coming back to not war but preach the gospel to which he found in his soul searching

Ivar = ( Ivarr Ragnarsson ) died in Dublin, Ireland , about the year 870 or 873, from a very '' sudden fever '' , which most historians believes it was 'dysentery, quite common for the period. Because of his older age, he didn't died in battle ! It is said he was a Viking warlord in Dublin and called a berserker .

@H. Kirk even the story of using a vessel to hide a warrior to gain entry to the city, is most likely legend. It’s very similar to the story of the Trojan horse is it not? Most of these fantastical stories of god like warriors are just that, stories.

Dude all of you editors are doing these Vikings edits and this is one of the longest and most in depth ones I’ve seen and in such a complex character as Ivar both him and Ragnar are the pillars of this show almost everything revolves around them or happens due to them or is about something that’s going to happen to them and to me Ivar is one of the most in depth characters in the show his beliefs cannot be shaken he is ruthless, bloodthirsty, cunning, smart, and will never stop yet he loves his brothers and has done unspeakable things I don’t know where his story will lead all I know is that it will be EPIC just like this edit I couldn’t tear my eyes from the screen LOVED IT and your music choice is superb I’ve got all of those songs saved on my playlist already PLS NEVER STOP DOING THESE EDITS!!!!!!!!!!!
