Someone said to me they hated Ivar and didn't understand how he could walk... I personally have a disability (not a physical one) so I admire the story of Ivar and his perseverance despite others telling him he'll never amount to anything. He didn't let it stop him and it's inspiring - fiction or no.

Ivar was the strongest of all Ragnar's sons. Despite it all he turned his weakness into his greatest strength. Everyone knows who he is just by looking at his legs. And they are terrified to even go near him

I was sad when I killed Ivar in AC Valhalla one of my favorite characters and his boss fight was fun. I made sure to give him his axe and sent him to Valhalla.

I would've loved to see IVAR reunited with Floki in the last episode. When it was floki and ubbe were sitting on the beach ubbe says " I don't care what you say, I love you floki" and floki says "If you don't care , then I will say nothing". I think flokis answer would've been different if it was him and IVAR.

I don't blame Ivar for becoming ruthrless , the way everyone treated him was so harsh , and i liked when he became strong , and started his revenge , such an inspiration , an example to not give up easly in life .

We called him ivar the boneless not because he was a cripple but because he was never broken

I don't agree. I think he got to the point of where he is now because of the fact that he was broken. Maybe the most broken of them all, but a broken bone grows back stronger than ever.

He deserved so many awards for this acting

Loved the relationship ivar had with his dad. It was an amazing story between the 2 of them. Im the youngest in my family and always related to ivar when watching him struggle to be accepted. His dad was always there for him. Just like mine was. Who past away 8 years ago. I miss him everyday. 😢

Ivar one of if not the best characters in the entire show.

Bro left kattegat with Ragnar as a cripple..... Came back with tenfold the fighting spirit, and the most cunning stratagist in the entire series even outsmarting Alfred in the very last..... If anything to be feared was if this guy had the legs... Then he would be unmatched by ANYONE

After one scene I bought the entire collection. Ivar taking on those men single handedly as he screamed called to the monster in me that begs to rest but forever roars at the moon in a violent rage that never dies

I'm upset they killed Ivar off, when he actually led a long life, conquering a lot of the Scottish Isles.

The Real Ivar the Boneless was even better and lived twice as long till his death of old age in Ireland.

I had an EMT partner, still best friend, who had mild left sided cerebral palsy. I called him superman. Now I know why he liked this character so much. And based on a real king slayer of history to boot.

You don’t fear the man that can do it, you fear the man that dreams of doing it.

Ivar was not my favorite, but he’s the one I relate to. I’m disabled and understand completely what sympathy does to someone like us. We just want to be acknowledged for who we are beyond our “disability”. Being like us does give us great strength. Enough to challenge the entire world!!!!

Hands down my favorite tv show of all time.

👏🏽only thing I’d add is his final speech “I am Ivar the boneless”

What's amazing about Ivar is that he fought against many soldiers of other nations and nobody could kill him, except one soldier who was trembling with fear. This is the only time he was afraid in life. What an amazing character he was !

It would've been so much better for the story if Ivar's legs had healed eventually as he slowly built strenght. Watching him fight his brothers would've been epic. He submitted Hvitserk while sitting down and he was probably the best out of everyone at sword fighting.

I watch this everyday since I found it, without fail, atleast 5 times a day. starting from 3.15 to the end . Ivan Torrent sounds. Ivar the boneless best scenes and as someone who’s always in pain and angry. I relate to it. I love it. This is one the best edits I’ve seen, as mentioned before 💪🏽💯👹

I cried watching this video. I can relate to the pain , hate and anger of growing alone....

Man i still come back to this video every once and awhile to see the part where all the men are to scared to rush him as he’s screaming his war chant it gives me goosebumps 😈

As a Christian it doesn't scare that people like Ivar exist but that I am one of them. Honestly for my entire life my hatred and rage dragged me forward when all I wanted to do is quit and let the sweet embrace of death free me from my burdens which I've had to carry on my back since I was old enough to first start speaking. Hate and rage simply comes so much more naturally to me then love and forgiveness and yet all the same I try to be better even if it's a losing battle.

I havent watched the series yet but so far he's my favorite for a multitude of reasons. He is whyyy I'm most likely going to watch it (until the episode before he dies cause Im a criminal like that :))

As someone who isn’t able to experience life like everyone else due to severe mental illness, making me unable to leave the house, get a job, hang out with friends and family, and even making me fail and miss out on the Highschool experience, I can relate heavily to Ivar and the anger he has. Though fictional, He’s inspiring. He makes me want to get up and do everything in my power to try and experience life the way a person is supposed to and that disabilities, mental or physical, doesn’t make a person weak or powerless. 10/10 character right here. Beautifully written
