#dhrupadmusician #indianclassicalmusic #meditativemusic For Shiv Ratri 2022, this year I am praying to raag Bhatiyaar, asking it to guide me from the shabda brahma (or word as a universe of sound) with the chanting of the maha mantra - Om Namah Shivaay ; to naad parabrahma (where sound creates a ultimate multidimensional universe for the shabda). And finally using the composition and words of the bandish to seek the Shiva-Tattva from where everything comes, everything is sustained, and everything dissolves into. Shiva is the consciousness of being.
Meditating on the expanse of Shiva with the mantra Om नमः शिवाय, it is fascinating to experience moments where the swa-ra and the shabda merge into the divinity, and later from the lowest swa-ra to the highest through the composition of the bandish, that traverses the entire span of the vocal instrument, and then through the inner dimensions of the soul through the dimensions of the voice.
I apologize in advance for any mistakes; I am eternally grateful the gurukripa that has allowed me this meditative space at the time of Shivaratri. This video is an attempt to share the space with all of you.
