Oh how I can relate to that. My only experience with traffic reports was as an explorer. I decided I didn’t want to have anything to do with traffic even though I was only helping and not doing the actual investigation. Then I joined the Border Patrol. I quickly found out that the “investigation” and paperwork for people apprehended crossing illegally from countries other than Mexico were our “traffic reports.” Telling a journeyman field,training agent that you had already had experience didn’t get you out of it.

Honestly, they're not too bad now that the involved parties have to do their own reports online. If city property is involved or there is a major injury, then the report gets written. Once it gets past 3 cars or 3 points of impact, it starts to suck the big one. If it's too complicated, a traffic unit can either take over or help you write it. They don't even teach the new recruits in the academy how to write them anymore!

I hated them and when it rained I went down side streets and stayed away from majors in order to avoid being flagged down that is how much I hated them
