Hey Scott, I was a Southland cop back in the '80s and am a firearms trainer. Granted nowhere near your expertise level as I push basic marksmanship overall. Some students get mad that I'm not teaching them the newest tactic-cool moves they see on youtube where I just grin and tell them let's just hit the stationary target first. I'm late discovering your channel but now I'm hooked. I live in Northern, VA now and the only other old coot cop I get to share stories with is my former partner who lives in Bullhead, AZ So, your vids are like one great big flashback for me. I also worked the '84 Olympics at the shooting range at Prado dam.

That was a hilarious story. I was a Navy Corpsman and I learned early on what NAVY stood for...Never Again Volunteer Yourself!

Made me think of the MASH episode Adam's Ribs, where Hawkeye orders ribs to go from a joint near Dearborn St Station in Chicago, to be airfreighted to Korea. I cannot imagine cleaning up after 240 odd operators, hangers on, GFs, etc ate and drank their way through a lobster feed clambake. Doing so when you have been drinking beer since maybe 0600 would make it worse. I hope you slept for a day afterwards. Thanks for the tales, they're great.
