WHY YOUR DOCTOR LIES TO YOU - with DR ROBERT LUFKIN

Have you ever wondered why your doctor says some of the silliest things? It's because that's what she/he was taught in medical school. Now we have a medical school professor who has owned up to the lies he taught to medical students for years, and is ready to tell his story.
Dr. Robert Lufkin is a medical school professor at UCLA &USC. He is now focusing on the applied science of health, longevity, and consciousness. After reversing chronic disease and transforming his own life he is making it his mission to help others do the same.
In addition to being a practicing physician, he is author of over 200 peer reviewed scientific papers and 14 books that are available in six languages. Robert has given invited lectures/keynotes around the world, and was named one of the ‘100 Most Creative People in Los Angeles’ by Buzz Magazine.

I’m currently taking a nutrient science class at Harvard Medical School and I am shocked at what they are trying to push on us! Carbohydrates, grains, low fats, no butter, low meat and no red meat…. Not to mention they promoted corn, vegetable and canola oils! And they actually said if you are a diabetic, you need to be taking medication along with potatoes and grains in addition to a healthy diet. OMG!!!!

It's worse. Pharma has corrupted the entire system: they pay off politicians to vote in ways that are beneficial, they publish medical text books, they fund journals, they fund medical schools, they fund research, they establish "partnerships" with academic medical centers to pervert institutional priorities, they determine the way health-related issues are covered (or not) in the legacy media.... they have corrupted EVERYTHING.

Hallelujah! I’m 96 years old and have narrowing of the arteries to the heart and my cardiologist suggested the stent and prescribed Metoprolol! I declined the stent procedure and, after reading the side effects of Metoprolol suffered by patients on it, I declined it also. I am a great believer in the old adage - “You are what you eat” (and don’t eat)! I have a few limitations healthwise, but I feel fine, live alone and do my own house cleaning, so I figure I must be doing something right. I am so glad to hear you both urging folks to learn more about nutrition and their diets. I am still learning.

I've been on Keto/Carnivore for three years this upcoming June. All health indicators have improved dramatically. 40lbs lighter, perfect blood pressure, and pre-diabetic condition stopped. My wife was in the hospital recently, and the nutritionist who was assigned to her, asked that I attend her sitting in with my wife as she gave her dietary advice. It wasn't even 5 minutes into the meeting, before she somehow got on her soapbox against these "new fad diets of Keto and or Carnivore". She proceeded to bash them, and how unhealthy they are. It was all I could do to zip it, as she spoke. My wife later thanked me for staying quiet.

I have found that eating really healthy can be inexpensive, you just have to eat differently. Sardines, eggs, avocado, cabbage, beets, sirloin and chuck steaks all are fairly inexpensive but very nutritional and healthy. I have also found that drinking just water and black coffee has helped me tremendously, and all I drank before was Pepsi and energy drinks. If I can do it anyone can. @@TheJuliefrom

He quit teaching in the late ’80s or early’90s in protest over the students who were being admitted to medical school. He warned me that we were heading for an era of terrible practitioners because the people admitted were all close-minded, had terrible bedside manners, and thought that they were infallible. A few weeks ago I took my 23 year old son for a follow up endoscopy because he had several significant ulcers. The doctor prescribed an acid lowering medicine. Our son did research, did not take the medicine and consumed cabbage powder, juiced cabbage and colloidal silver. While my son was coming to, I asked the doctor how his ulcers looked. He said they were healed, with only a little remaining irritation. The look on his face when I told him what he did, and didn’t do was priceless. The male nurse said there was no way that cabbage juice would heal an ulcer, only medicine. I said he took no medicine and used the cabbage method. He seemed genuinely ticked off.

Don't know if you heard about the Hilary Clinton school lunch program before. She asked the food manufacturers specifically to strip all the nutrition out of the food. They responded by saying doing that makes the food so barren and bland it's barely even food any more, like Grey paste. They tried to add high fructose corn syrup to make the "food" a solid product again and add artificial flavors. The resulting Frankenstein food that was custom ordered by Hilary Clinton was so bad the kids wouldn't eat it, and the program didn't last very long.

I have been on carnivore diet for 2 months now. I don't go to the VA for medical care anymore. I didn't lose any weight for the first 30 days, so I was very discouraged, BUT I reversed my diabetes, my hypertension, and all of the other health problems I had. Two months! Now, I do have some problems. I'm almost 70 years old, and my gray hair is turning dark brown again (a little at a time). My body is acutely aware of what I eat. (I'm taking herbalism classes, and I KNOW how toxic plants are, because now that I have been carnivore, when I eat something like a potato, I have a severe reaction.) I have so much energy, that I have to stay busy most of the day, so no more lounging around. Six months ago, I could barely walk. Now I'm out in the woods, foraging for plants, not to eat, but to extract the metabolites from. I started the herbalism course to heal myself, but now I don't need these remedies. My family has seen the major changes in me, but I don't hound them to eat carnivore. After not losing weight for 30 days, I watched Dr. Boz, and started taking iodine. Now I'm losing about a pound every other day. I watched Dr. Berg and started drinking raw goat milk kefir. I watch Dr. Berry almost every day, because he is my cheerleader, even if he doesn't know it. I wish your audience could have seen how pathetic I was two months ago. I know my doctor at the VA is not going to be supportive, so I just don't go. The day I started carnivore, I threw away ALL OF MY MEDS. Now I don't need any of them. Meat, salt and water. That is how I started. I have lost 35 pounds in this short time, and my stomach started looking like popped bubble wrap, but now it is tightening up. I don't even worry about losing body fat now, because it falls off without me even thinking about it. The carnivore diet isn't really a diet. It is the only healthy way to eat. I have been a vegetarian, a vegan, and have been on every diet out there, but eating sensibly and following Dr. Berry, I now have charge of my health. When I was a vegan, eating the allegedly healthiest diet on the planet, I was at my sickest. Never again.

The reason the carnivore diet works, is it takes out carbs and grains and processed food chemicals if you only eat meat. It's not actually the best diet. Fruit and vegetables, and meat without grains is better. Some people claim to have problems eating vegetables too, its honestly the herbicides and chemicals not the fruit. Gluten intolerant people are discovering they can eat grain no problem if it was grown without chemicals. I eat tons of grains because it's cheap, it doesn't seem to be a problem for me but everyone is different.

Recently she was telling me about her sleep issues and a new med the Dr had prescribed only to find out she was taking 4 different meds to sleep at the same time. I immediately went online and showed how these meds are not meant to be mixed and she could easily kill herself. I was shocked at how irresponsible she was. I have been hospitalized several times in the last six years. I was borderline diabetic for decades until i started keto lifestyle and no refined sugar. When hospitalized, the diet was always high in refined sugar that would spike my insulin levals. I complained numerous times to their dieticians during these episodes. They refused to accept the fact that their diets were loaded with refinded sugar. The nursing staff would demand i take insulin regardless of how close it was to normal levels. They are creating the health crissis in our country and are pushing extra costly treatments to milk Medicare to the hilt! We are being duped by our medical community just like they did during the Covid pandemic the WHO created. Our medical community is just an extension of our political structure, hell bent on keeping us sick and under their control both physically and psychologically.

I had an elevated bp with the assistant. When the NP came in, I told I her felt anxious in the office and that I seemed to have white-coat syndrome. My bp was elevated when she took it and she disregarded what I said, didn’t ask any lifestyle questions (how much coffee did you have etc) and said “ well, if your bp doesn’t come down we’re going to prescribe a med and that’s just going to have to be okay” I left her office, sat in the parking lot and scheduled to see a new physician. I want a healthcare partner; not a drug dealer.

A lot of adults are set in their ways and refuse to change, particularly when it comes to eating. I think most of us have a relative who has diabetes, heart disease, etc. who refuses to give up their bread, pasta, desserts, or be physically active, and are content continuing their unhealthy lifestyle thinking that their diabetes medication, cholesterol drugs, blood pressure drugs, will allow them to continue their ways. Most of them also seem to believe that you are going to get these conditions when you get old, regardless of your dietary or lifestyle habits. I think most western doctors think this about their patients in general and that is a big reason they just jump straight to prescribing drugs.

I got fed up with the expensive testing and drugs with crazy side effects; im an herbalist, and i researched and did my thing, and while im still overweight, im better. This lady went the other route, and climbed onboard the medical bus. She is now three times my size, insulin dependent, struggles to breathe and walk, has fatty liver disease...the list is endless. Ive lost count of the number of meds shes on. I get along with this lady, and ive tried to talk to her. Her response, every time? "I'll have to talk to my doctor about that." Thats like going to a street drug pusher with a question about veggie smoothies. 😢

One huge problem is "Sunk Cost" -- she may feel (subconsciously) as if she's invested SO much time in the direction she's going, that it keeps her from seeing that it's NOT too late to turn towards a new direction. I used to be obese with hypertension; and it was daunting to see how far wrong I'd gone. It made me feel as if I was really stupid, instead of simply having been badly misled. I hope your friend can eventually see how much better she CAN feel, by seeing how much better YOU feel on a different path. ❤ "The only hole we can't dig ourselves out of is the grave."

They treated me like i was stupid, hurried to give the shots before i could say no & kicked us out of the practice merely for choosing not to vaccinate anymore. I have taken an interest in nutrition ever since I got a job at Rodale Press in 1981, home of Organic Gardening, Prevention Magazines, and a book division that goes along those lines (think professional vegan hippie). I did the whole vegan/vegetarian thing for decades... swore by seed oils, grains. In my mid to late 60's I developed Morton's Neuroma. I've been athletic all my life... and I was devistated that I couldn't wear my cycling shoes... and as a musician, couldn't wear my cowboy boots. As one would expect, I hit KZread, and began research, which led me to you, Doc. You inspired me to take up keto... and have had periods of carnivore... With your advice, and from The Nerve Doctors YT channel, my neurma has faded to no longer being painful.... I have since developed vertigo.... was told I'd had an old stroke. Which I figured gave me double vision... but the ENT said my vertigo was central, the neurologist said it was inner ear... a total WTF... I researched. I am now into amino acids that have opened up arteries and increased my blood flow. The vertigo has almost completely subsided... amino acids... not drugs. Meanwhile, my LDL has my medical pros "concerned." They wanted me on statins, and a host of other drugs, and since my blood sugar (inherited, and from decades of damage) is "high normal," they want me on meds for that too.... I refuse all pharma drugs. I told them I'll deal with it via diet... they looked at me wide eyed that I refused their advice. They look at me in shock with my refusal. I explain why by what I've learned from KZread, which provides better medical advice (evidenced by how I feel amd function) than I get from the corporately owned medical system I see. I can tell, this system is all about the money and money only. They, at times, are completely useless, except for doling out drugs... which I won't take. Welcome to the Corporate States of America... our government, a mere corporate subsidiary, controlled by money... The tipping point has been reached... there's no going back. The population is a cash cow. You are correct doctor... we really are on our own... I will continue to research. I owe my remarkable good health (for my age) to KZread. BTW, I've a "junk food vegan" friend who is on statins... crazy, huh? He lives on grains, sugar, pasta, beans, has a round protruding belly.... I appreciate you using 4 letter words... I'm just a working class guy...

The eggs help to get all the fat incorporated and add more good fat/flavor and lots more nutrients. My skin is usually dry and I've been struggling with a rash. It's looking better after three weeks on mostly carnivore. The ground beef and egg dish is something very easy to make, not expensive with the higher fat beef, all natural since I'm cooking all non-processed real food. This meal is quite satisfying and now I'm craving these foods and rarely craving carbs. I eat the free range eggs every morning and often a couple more eggs with the beef for lunch or dinner. They taste good and are like natures multi-vitamin. Loving it! Thank you doctors!

My blood work was all out of whack, Kidneys were also loosing function….. all this at 36 years old. Here we are in March (3 months carnivore) bacon, beef, eggs and lard. I am now 15 stone, i’m off statins, nearly of sertraline, lots of energy and mental clarity. My kids get sick from school and it doesn’t touch me. Sleep has improved. Every health issue I mentioned above has fully resolved. I now have the energy to workout. Kidney function is back to over 100%. After persevering with carnivore (against doctors advice) I will never stop the carnivore diet. One doctor told me this diet will kill me…. I replied “no doc your diet nearly killed me.” So after months of battling through different diets and eventually ending up on carnivore, it took 3 months to save my life. Ken you saved my life….. Thank you so so much, you are my doctor now!! 👍🏻

I have a higher cholesterol numbers. I took a statin for many years. I started hearing that the initial cholesterol study was not scientific and cholesterol wasn’t a great indicator. Talked to my doctor and she said my info was bunk. I told her I didn’t want to take a statin. She sent me in to get a scan and got a score of 0. She had me take the scan again 5 years later and my score was 0. She kept pressuring me not only to continue the cholesterol med, but to add a second one. I recently had an HA. The pressure came on strong to take statins. They even proscribed them to be delivered by post. I had already read KB's book on Lies and used this as a spring-board to read half a dozen more books. In the UK, the doctors sound like tape recorders, sounding off the official line. They are frightened to deviate from the official line, terrified they will be struck off. When I mentioned Ken Berry's name to my cardiologist, he got mad, I thought he was about to HA. He po-hooed and said that all the data in his books was invented and proven wrong. He was fully on the defence like a guilty man in the dock.

Truth teller, me too! Could I suggest something. Look up Dr. David Perlmutter. If anyone got medicine and healthcare totally right people would live alot longer. That being said we all could be health healers by becoming friends. No one should be hanging on to your fridge like a caring lover, eating by yourself. Perlmutter, brings to light the demon behind sugar that being frictose. Half of the refined sugar we eat and taste is frictose, and it is a substance that is adictive, transported by insulin, not metabolicly consumed by cells, directly is screened out by the liver, methalated into adapose tissue. Thank the Lord, our bodies are smart, because if we water fast, that stored frictose is converted into something cells can live on, ketones! The liver uses ATP to convert the adapose tissue putting it the major consumer of blood stream available ATP. Cancer cells are parisites consuming available ATP as well. Who wins? If caught with ample time your liver can heal itself, cause cancer cell to under go autophagy. As for grains call them carbs they have several aspects to consider, the major one is glutin and herbisides followed by conversion to alcohol causing liver damage. If I would give one piece of advice don't eat anything with corn substances in it, zero! Go for a walk, better a run before eating meals, stop snacking and go on one full healthy meal a day.

We called them NIDDM which was " non insulin dependent diabetes mellitus" or you had Juvenile Diabetes or IDDM. It was mal-practice to give insulin to NIDDM people. Then it all changed gradually over the past 40 years and I was in practice with a younger physician who told me all older diabetics needed an A1c of 7.0 and higher or they would develop dangerous hypoglycemia. I even heard him tell his patients that an A1c of 8.0 WASN'T DIABETES. We had a private discussion and he would not budge and I left that practice the next day. It was horrible!

MY girl friend fell from 7.8 to 4.3 on a quarter of a 10 oz. Water glass, 50 % water and 50% broccoli juice over night! I picked her up from her place and kept my eye on her as we dropped one of her three diabetic pills completely! We only drank that small amount once a day before bed, testing before bed and at wake up. We changed nothing on meals except cutting glutin, rice, bread, pastry and the usual items. Replace sugar with monk fruit allulose. Steam broccoli 2 minutes. Blend with cold water. Add, and here is the secret, a small amount of mustard powder. That is the juice. Your totally on your own! I add some monk fruit to it because it is something you have to hammer back. If your going blind. But, not completely. We were experiencing reversal of monocular degeneration in about 8 months after we were able to drink one water glass a day and the reading was consistant at 6.5 or less. Study the eye and where the optical center of the brain is. It is on the back of your head! If you have ever eaten ripe berries off the vine as we did as children you would never eat the blackberries packaged in stores. Also I have read there are sugars that are formed by ripening on the vine that are essential for our bodies at a cellular level. Today lots of fruits and vegetables are tasteless and lacking nutrients. Seafood is being farmed and adding artificial nutrients that cannot replace what's in the oceans or rivers. Humans lack exposure to sunshine and fresh air. It is definitely a challenge and somewhat expensive to stay healthy today. Let me know if you need anything else. @@carynmartin6053

I am in awe of Dr Berry. He is a global phenomenon, tirelessly bringing real change to medicine, giving us the knowledge, permission to challenge the status quo. He paid his own way to speak at Dave Feldman Citizen Science conference I attended just days ago and has already put out several videos since then. With a young family, a farm, besides caring for his own patient population he continues to research, interview, create and instill hope to those who will listen. God bless and keep you Dr. B. Thank you.

Retired respiratory therapist here, and you know what it comes down to, you either have the desire to be informed and educate yourself or you don't. Too many medical personnel are more than happy to blindly and willfully accept what they've been soon fed. EVERY ANSWER is in a pill. I taught asthma education and MANY things can trigger it, and the ANSWER is not always MORE DRUGS. I taught people to look at everything in their lives, what they eat, what they drink, stress level, exercise, how much sun exposure do they get, allergies, household chemicals, personal care products, dust mites, pollen counts and many other things! There are also natural foods, teas and consumables that can decrease or mitigate symptoms. BUT what was I supposed to teach? Better drug timing, prophylactic and increased drug usage and different asthmatic drugs. Wake up people. The entire medical model has become dangerous to your health.

I know they got that because of the children’s charity stuff from McDonald’s but I did find it problematic especially since we had told many parents that they needed to watch food in their kids diet & right after they were in there with discharge instructions.

These two doctors just gave the best description of American medical education I've ever heard! My dad was an engineer and he brought me up to "think, think, think!" The ability to think has served me well my entire life. Doctors, on the other hand, are taught to "Obey, obey, obey!" I suffer from a variety of difficult to manage autoimmune conditions and have for more than 50 years. It didn't take me long to figure out that most doctors have no interest whatever in doing the hard work necessary to cope with chronic illness and so many years ago I reluctantly became my own doctor. Some doctors are intimated by the depth of my medical knowledge, others are big fans. One of the fans often asks me if I would mind if a medical student sits in on my appointment and I always say it's okay. Last year I asked a third year Dartmouth Medical School student two questions: 1) "How many times have you or a fellow student raised their hand to question a statement made by a professor?" and 2) "How many times have you or a fellow student asked for a professor to offer a more detailed justification for a particular medical procedure?" The answer to both questions was an embarrassed "Never." My reply? "Good thing you aren't a car mechanic the sides of the highways would be littered with broken down cars!" Some years ago as a somewhat expert Type 1 Diabetic I was asked to give a 3 hr lecture on managing diabetes to an LPN conference of about 50 nurses. Before beginning my talk I told the participants that if I said something they didn't understand or disagreed with they should immediately raise their hand because if they waited to the end they'd probably forget the question. My talk wound up lasting a half hour longer I got so many questions on things that one would have thought any nurse would already have known!

When my father was in the hospital dying last year, I spent 10 days and nights there with him. I stopped every single doctor and nurse I saw throughout that hospital during that time and asked them if they knew what the glymphatic system was. Only one nurse knew because she read it in reader's digest. That research came out in 2016. I believe the lymphatic and glymphatic systems top the list for the most important systems in the body due to the ability to filter the toxins through the lymphatic system and then the glymphatic system washes the brain of those toxins. I keep up with most neurological research 3 weeks ago I saw the first mention of the glymphatic system in Alzheimer's research. I've been screaming that for years and no one would listen. I also know what activates the lymphatic and glymphatic systems, but there needs to be researched into that to prove it.

My husband and I started doing keto five years ago. We listen to Butter Bob Briggs, Dr. Barry and Dr. Berg. They were all so helpful! Then I started my battle with the doctors over my cholesterol which was 300. They were very frustrated as I wouldn’t take statins. I read in a book in the ‘90s that this was the new pharmaceutical agenda and to be careful. I dug and researched (I had a hard time understanding the doctors terminology) and finally a Dr said to have a CT scan done, I would have to pay for it, but it would show if I had plaque. I did, and I had zero plaque! My doctors were surprised! They just advised me to continue to eat correctly meaning the food pyramid! I didn’t argue but continued on keto. The CT scan cost me $150, the best money I ever spent! Amazing how doctors don’t mention or recommend this and insurance companies don’t pay for it. Thank you!! PS-We lost lots of weight and it helped my husband a lot with his joint pain. My next quest is to get off my low dosage of high blood pressure meds.

I was put on my first diet when I was 9 years old. My mom took me to the hospital weekly to meet with a nutrition counselor. As a result, I have been battling my weight my entire life. I tried out Atkins when that became popular in the late 90s, and I loved the low-carb lifestyle. I stuck to it for about a year but eventually gave up due to peer pressure, and my weight doubled. I took the weight off again a couple of times. Maintaining while eating a typical American diet is really difficult. I'm looking forward to the proper human diet becoming more the norm so we can socialize and not be the odd one out who doesn't want pizza or pasta, etc.

I have studied meditation for 20 years, and I am perfectly capable of controlling my blood pressure (unless I have a migraine). As a matter of fact, I have white coat syndrome, and so when I walk into the exam room, I sit down and start breathing down my blood pressure from the anxiety. I have gotten so good at it and my doctors know what I do, they will look and me and say, "Now Miss River, you got it too low now, can you bring it back up?" Blood pressure can not only be controlled by diet but also through mindfulness breathing. There is no reason to give anyone a blood pressure pill.

This is true on the teaching being directly targeting an unhealthy pathway for the population. I've worked in a major hospital and have followed many of the lectures for the heck of it and it was almost a passion. From radiation to transplants have struck a sour note with me. But I did a gold path for those dealing with trauma. But when it came to fixing issues that occurred out of the blue, meds were never my drive. I've always thought that if a doc can't answer the questions I've asked, then how can I trust them. Over time, I've heard things, seen things and experienced things that I've felt like it was a threat. I'm a diabetic of close to two years and the meds that were given to me made me question what, how, why and if there were another approach. Stating, metformin and a few others. After diagnosed Type 2 and then tested twice more after that...type 1 was a month down the road after telling my docs that something is wrong. The side effects were almost instantaneous to taking meds given. As I complained, the more they said that it was impossible that the meds could've been my issue. Long story short, I quit taking the statin because of the side effects, which were horrific. Soo I'm 100% in disbelief that this system is in the best of our interest. I've lost important and close friends because of these issues. I'd like to learn more. We are literally allowing a slow destruction of our most valued investment, which is our bodies/life. Two of my research studies was Of Mice and Men and the beginning of where medicine e started. We have totake a higher interest in our care.
