Iti- The Story - A Documentary by Sagar Kapoor, Shilpa Shanker Narain
When we started working on these recordings, we realized early on that it will not be enough to just create music videos or audio recordings of the material. We needed to document the experiences, the process, and the emotions that had gone into the making of the music, in order to do justice to the vastness and depth of material that was in front of us.
Iti- The Story is a documentary created by the young and talented Sagar Kapoor, with the exact sensibilities that the project demanded. I am very happy and proud to share with you this beautiful narrative of how the album and the project Iti- Dhrupad Meditations on Dikshitar came to be.
