FAQ:
Who is this lady?
Gina Petitti was born in 1935 in Faeto, Italy. Her family ran a farm in Italy and she met her husband, Vito, in the same town. In 1970 Gina, Vito, and her 4 children immigrated to America. Gina’s husband passed away in 2012, but she is surrounded by a large family, which includes 9 grandchildren, and lives 5 minutes away from her eldest daughter in New Jersey. Gina spends her time cooking, gardening, and being an active member of her local Church.
Where does Gina get her recipes?
Most of these recipes are from what she learned growing up in Italy, but some of them have evolved over time. She has also learned new recipes from friends and family in America. She is always eager to try new things.
Why is no one helping her in the video?
Grandma Gina doesn’t want help! Usually, it’s because we will slow her down or not do it “her way.” For the videos we only show her, but when the camera cuts we jump in and help form the cookies or prep for the next step.
Why don’t we buy her a new...?
Grandma Gina has a closet and garage full of new gadgets, spoons, forks, pots, etc… but she doesn’t like them because she is used to doing it with her old tools. She has fun getting her hands dirty!
Who is behind the camera?
Her retired son-in-law films, her daughter helps her prep, and she usually has one or two grandkids in the kitchen.
Does Gina read the comments?
We print out and show her how much love she gets from all her viewers, and she is very thankful and hopes you enjoy her cooking! Your comments bring her lots of joy, laughter, and inspiration to make more videos to share with you.
Thank you for watching, we hope you subscribe, and we will see you in our next video!

I absolutely love Tiramisu, but even more than that, I love this woman and her accent
My name, Gina, as well. I LOVE her because she sounds exactly like my mother, who was born in Pescara, Italy, and immigrated to the US!!! When I see her cook and hear her accent, I could almost cry she reminds me so much of my mother long ago deceased. Keep cooking Gina.

I love her energy! It’s like having an extra Italian grandmother teaching you how to cook.
This is the ONLY tiramisu recipe that is safe and that I always use. Thank you nonna Gina for sharing. 💕
I just found your channel and God bless you for doing this. I hope you realize that you are making instructional videos that are not only showing us now how an Italian Grandma makes classic Italian dishes but it's going to be showing people for hundreds of years as well!!! In 400 years someone is going to make Tiramisu while watching this video! It just blows my mind, and God bless youtube as well because if you do a few searches you can find Chinese Grandmas, Lebanese Grandmas, every ethnicity with a cooking channel....Amazing times we're living in...
Gina, I am so thankful for this recipe. I’m going to make for my husband, it’s his favorite! June we celebrate 30 years married so I will surprise him with it! Thank you for teaching us the good home cooking. You are so happy to watch! I hope your son in law has a quick recovery, we need him to make more videos of you cooking your delicious foods! I make your chicken cacciatore all the time, and I just smile and sing while making it! Hugs and happy Easter!
Made exactly as instructed and just pulled it out of the fridge today after the 3-day wait. SUPERB!! Restaurant quality. Amazing and will pass on to friends ! Thanks 🙏 Nonna!

Even after making it, I still keep watching her cuz she is fun .I love her, she reminds me of my grandmother. Thanks grandma
She's adorable, I could listen to her all the time.
This is the best recipe of tiramisù I've learned, because the eggs are pasteurized, not raw as in the common recipes. Nonna Gina is absolutely great.
i love this lady so much. she doesn't take any short cuts in her food prep. this is my favorite dessert.
Thank you so much for telling us a little about Gina, love watching her and had made her apple cake and the family loved it. Your family has a treasure in her! Thank you for sharing her with us!!

I'll pray for your son for his surgery to go well. I love the dishes you are teaching to make. Thank you mamma Gina, we love you.
Best Tiramisu I have EVER eaten. I've made it for several parties since. A real keeper. Goes to show that food cooked slowly and with love always reigns. God bless you dearly!! 💞
My Wife is from Chicago *(moved to Texas 35 years ago) and reminisces about her Italian Grandmother everytime Mama Gina cooks and sings. Its Friday night here now and we're both smiling and craving Tiramisu! xoxoxo
I love it when Gina sings. I watch to learn about real italian cuisine and also because Gina makes me feel like I’m a kid again. She makes me feel I’m back in time with my beautiful family who are no longer with me. I love you Gina, Mille Grazie xxo.
Her family does not know how lucky they are. ❤
What a wonderful video. This is just the kind of sweetness the world needs right now. Cheers from Vancouver.

I would love to spend day with mama Gina it would make me feel like I was with my mother and nana again god rest their souls. From Palermo, these women would run circles around our generation... This woman is amazing at 81 god bless.
As soon as an Italian Granma starts singing while cooking/baking, you know her food would kill anything served by a worldclass chef.
Yes, thank you. For this fabulous recipe, so clear. For your sparkling miscivious eyes😚 For your generosity. For being yourself. You are a fantastic grannie, not only for your loved ones, but for us all !!❤ Un bacio da Parigi, Francia😘 Hope your son in law will be just fine, fingers crossed🤗

I love this show! I love this Grandma! I love Nonna Gina!!
if anyone might find it helpful but actually Pavesini are a very different type of biscuit, smaller, crunchy, less spongy and with more sugar, they are used to make tiramisù in Italy but they are completely different from the ones Gina is using. The one she is using are called Savoiardi (lady finger). Love this channel, I am so happy you guys are putting all this knowledge online for everyone to learn, I would never want these traditions to be forgotten, she reminds me a lot of my grandma!!!!

These are called savoiardi or biscotti aal'uovo, the pavesini are different, and yes in italy they buy them for small children,
I LOVE Italian Grandma’s videos not only because her recipes are the BEST, authentic recipes, but also because they help me relive memories of my childhood in the kitchen with my Sicilian Grandma. THANK YOU very much for the time and love put into making these. May God bless your Grandma! Watching her is pure JOY!
Miss you Gina....you are the best
I love her! I wish she lived near me. I would visit her all the time. I'm so grateful she has shared her recipes. God bless her.
Oh how you make everything look so easy. I wish you made house visits...LOL, I would love that. I remember years ago, there was a chef that traveled and spent the day with people to help them prepare special dishes....it was so awesome! So, Grandma Gina, if you ever want to travel to Florida, let me know....my kitchen is your kitchen❤❤❤❤❤
I am so happy I stumbled across your videos! I have always been intimidated by this recipe. You make everything look so easy. You are such a blessing! God Bless you and keep you safe 🙏 Mama Gina ❤😘
