For me as an casual gamer it is by far the cheapest and most comfortable way to enjoy some entertainment. No need for monthly subscriptions and no hardware to invest in. I hope Google will keep it this way.

@@JoeChip Yes, but I'm that kind of guy that sticks to a game over a significant amount of time when I like it. So, beeing a casual gamer and playing just a few hours a week at max my purchases are pretty limited.

"I've never bought a game on the service because I've always worried that the service might fold. Google's got a track record with this" 3 questions for you: 1. How many paid services did Google close? 2. How many projects/free services/paid services did Microsoft, Amazon, Sony... close? 3. What will happen with your games and DLC bought in the highly unlikely event that Stadia close?

1) A fair few of these were paid services killedbygoogle.com/ 2) Not as many as Google (that’s why Google has a reputation for killing services) 3) That’s the question, isn’t it? Google have repeatedly failed to answer it satisfactorily. As for your assertion that Stadia is highly unlikely to close, the evidence would appear to not support your position. The service is a failure by virtually any metric. Certainly its user base is minuscule compared to the competition. Of course, Google could turn it around but they are showing no interest in doing so.

Here are some examples: KZread Originals, KZread VR, KZread Community, KZread Leanback, KZread Messages, KZread for Nintendo 3DS, KZread Gaming, KZread Annotations, KZread Editor, KZread for PS Vita, KZread Streams... and here we are writing on KZread 😆 Being serious, here comes reality. 1: 0. 2. All large corporations have killed many projects and services. 3. There will be compensation for games and DLC bought if you can't play them. 4. We have no idea how many users, active players and subscribers are on Stadia. 5. By any metrics?? Compare Stadia with any other cloud gaming service and you'll see how good it is.

If it's doing as good as you say, just go play your games and let people that aren't delusional keep laughing at your entire community. I bet even if Google comes out and says *we're canceling stadia* you white knights would find a positive side to it like some other idiots who actually cheered for stadia when they shut down their first party studios saying *that's really good because now they can focus on getting more AAA titles* Get off your high horse. Your platform isn't as polished as you think. You just don't want to admit that SOMEDAY NO MATTER WHAT, you'll lose access to those games because you have no physical copies of A N Y of them.

@@rmartinez1993 Te lo pondré en castellano porque veo que no lo has entendido en inglés. Los juegos y DLC comprados serán compensados en caso de cierre. Está escrito en la normativa y por mucho que llores, patalees, faltes el respeto con lo de reírse de la comunidad... seguirá vigente. Por cierto, el cierre de Stadia se vienen anunciando prácticamente desde el principio y hasta ahora todos los futurólogos, que no son precisamente pocos, han fracasado.

If I could play on Stadia (because until today the expansion hasn't happened) I'd say it's a great service and what's missing in my opinion is more games. I'd be the kind of guy who buys games every now and then, but I'm the kind of casual gamer who loves subscriptions

One huge nail in the coffin was when I saw stadia players actually CHEERING because stadia shut down their FP studios WITHOUT THEM GETTING A SINGLE GAME OUT. The stadia players are so beyond delusional and arrogant that they'll say anything to defend their shitty gaming decision.

I haven't watched the video yet but I want to give my thoughts on stadia. My problem is with stadia is that they are not getting the new games this month. Elden ring Grid legends Sifu Dying light 2 Not having new games like that is a bad thing imo

Yes and I think that's a sign that Google no longer care about the service. I actually think the writing was on the wall when they shuttered their gaming studios. It showed a lack of commitment and that's not how you establish market share in the gaming arena. Of all the big companies out there, I think Google are probably the last one that I would have any confidence in when it comes to the gaming arena. They just seem to like to throw shit at the wall and hope some sticks. That approach was never going to work.

There is absolutely nothing I can argue with you on here, You're spot on. You know I am or was Stadia supporter, they had a chance to make this something and just blew it. GFN is murdering everything in the cloud for Fidelity, it's insanely better than Stadia in that respect, possibly even better than console. It's downside is the UI, Stadia's promise was a console in the cloud, it's failed and will become a white label service I think.

Cheers Mike. Yeah, it was a difficult decision in some ways. I've always felt that Stadia had potential but that Google were wasting it. They just never really seemed that committed to the service and when you are launching something new like this, you need to sell it to potential customers. You don't do that by going at it in a half arsed manner. I even wonder if this wasn't Google's plan all along. Use Stadia to sell the tech to other companies. After all, there's money to be made there for them. The writing was on the wall when they shuttered their studios, though. That sent the message out that they weren't in this for the long haul, whether that was true or not. I wonder if Amazon will fare better with Luna?

stadia is so good when u travel. it's the only service that works on hotel wifi. it works significantly better than the other cloud having platforms in anyway but the hotel wifi is what makes it amazing to me

Guess what, I don't have an Xbox and personally I don't even want a gaming console... I need to play on a 4K TV with just a native app and Xbox cloud gaming is still inconsistent, limited to 1080p, no m&k, I can't buy any game to be played on the cloud, Game Pass games rotate in and out and that doesn't fit my gaming habits. I also pay for GFN Priority (because the free tier is a joke) but Stadia remains my preferred platform: in two years, I've got more than 130 Stadia Pro games linked to my account, and I've bought dozens of games paying peanuts on the many discounts. The Stadia port of a game often uses EXCLUSIVE cloud features: (e.g. I can play Humankind on my tablet with DIRECT touch controls: a PC game with native mobile controls). Whatever it will become in the future, I will still have my library of games available on Google Cloud: just like I still have access to my purchased music on Google Play Music through KZread Music. Gaming is core business for Google and they also make money leasing the tech to other companies: it means they will maintain the tech and the infrastructure, with Stadia consumers constantly improved to keep it up to date. Cloud gaming has a 2% market share, but all analyses foresee a huge long-term expansion. I really can't see Google get rid of it just because it doesn't fit your needs and you don't find it profitable.

Google aren’t investing in Stadia and are already losing interest in it. Could that change? Possibly but I think it’s unlikely.

For the games I get every month I'll stay subscribed. I believe in the service.

It’s by far the best cloud gamming service, I even sold my series x because I rather play stadia

Well good luck to you. I think you’re going to get bit on the arse, though. Even now, online gaming is all but dead on Stadia and many new games just aren’t turning up on the platform.

@@JoeChip so far I’ve not really had a problem. I only really would play warzone and halo but on the Xbox. warzone has got so toxic that I’ve not missed it. Yeah some games aren’t cross play but a lot of them are and because it so easy to try a game so quickly without any downloads the games I do play and enjoy I tend to stick with them and actually get around to finishing them. I understand it’s not for everyone but it is the further and even Microsoft knows it and right now stadia feel the most polished off platform so far

I did exactly the same. The only game worth playing IMO on XBOX was WWZ...now that it's on Stadia, no regrets at all. There is something magical about starting a game in my living room, pausing it, and resuming it in bed. Pair that with a Stadia controller and CCU, and the experience is top notch. Also, no downloads is highly underrated.

What I don't understand what was on Stadia that you couldn't get on Gamepass or even PSN? And secondly I disagree with you , you talk about Sony and Microsoft all day but Stadia is Everything

Wasn't Stadia one of the first streaming services though before Xbox Game Pass and others ? I don't think Stadia can now compete with these others brands hence why its so cr@p!!!

Yeah, it dropped at the end of 2019. Google failed to deliver a lot of what was promised, though, and they never really invested in content. It’s a shame because the streaming itself is pretty good.

You still have to spend full price for the real worth while games like doom and red dead. Everything else is literal garbage.

You don't have to subscribe the service is free STADIA is cool play games all the time on STADIA

No, Stadia really is a disappointing service.

Xbox game pass ultimate to me is way better than stadia and geforce is OK but it's not that great when it comes to click a game play the game Xbox all you do is click on the game and play on your phone any game free geforce do got the best free games like warframe and paladins but unlike Xbox stadia and geforce can go pretty soon and all the games you bought you won't be able to play so why waste so much money to then have nothing later on
