The thing with UFC Africa is that you can only do it in south africa, no other country has the infrastructure nor do the people have the means to pay a ticket for a live event. You can't throw that event in nigeria, congo, ivory coast it is just not possible. Plus by ufc africa people really mean ufc sub saharan african so you can't do it in Egipt or Morroco, places that do have the infrastructure

There's only about 14000 seats in the perth arena but they still came, and Nigeria has multiple massive cities. I definitely think there's enough rich people there for it to work, probably same in kenya and senegal

Only South Africa has the infrastructure and experience of hosting massive events (FIFA World Cup, Cricket World Cup, Rugby World Cup). Nigeria has hosted nothing.

Having masive cities does not equal being rich the average YEARLY salary in nigeria is 2k the ufc sells tickets more expensive than that, sure there are some rich ass people in nigeria but they are for sure not a significant percentage of the population.

For the fantasy UFC Africa card, the only problem I have with it is the Kape vs Mokaev fight. It’s a great fight but I think they HAVE to go with Kai Kara France vs Manel Kape. There’s beef there, plus KKF and Izzy are teammates and we know how CKB likes to do with putting multiple CKB guys on one card. And then for Usman vs Whittaker, I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz around that matchup but honestly I don’t need to see it. I would love to see Usman on that card but at 170 and against somebody else. Somebody like the winner of Brady vs Luque (I think they’re fighting next right?), Shavkhat, Ian Garry, or JDM if he gets through Burns. Your ACTUAL IFW card is 🔥 though and way more realistic. If the UFC fumbles on an event in Africa again, I’ll be pissed. They have to capitalize with Izzy and Dricus.

The only thing about the africa card is the stadium rather, loftus stadium thats in Pretoria Johannesburg isn't tooo safe and loftus is where the Springboks won their first world cup. Also has 52k stadium capacity easier to fill

It seems like Izzy and Bareman have a history of trying to get fighters to fight injured or like 2-3 months after intense 5 round fights. What does it matter? What kind of narrative are you trying to push? DDP called out Izzy at 297, and Israel also fought Pereira and knocked him out with a torn MCL that he injured the week of the fight. Video evidence of this is on this website if you don’t believe it. Don’t try to shame fighters for being active then shit on other champions for being inactive.

I don't care where the UFC goes, so long as it's at sea-level. The UFC making an Africa card depends on if they believe DDP will be able to defend the belt a couple of times. Otherwise, they're going to duck the Africa card again. And if they don't bring Mike Perry back for that card they've failed.

Having Whittaker and Usman fight for a #1 contender’s is absolutely ridiculous. The whole “win a single fight then get a title shot” should have died out with Colby’s last loss. Usman and Whittaker are not championship caliber anymore. These guys are old heads that are set in their ways and do not have what it takes to level up enough to beat the new generation and current competition.
