Lol Lucas normally doesnt hace that many bad picks(although he normally has atleast one shit one per card) but that is atrocious. Strikers have better luck taking down O'Malley than grapplers because of their better footwork and distance control. Even aljo said it was hard to shoot good shots on O'Malley for that reason. Plus, O'Malley is a little bit better than Sandhagen as a striker(mosty offensively) but his defense(outside of leg kick checking) is left to be desired. We see he's vunerable to the body. And a high pace against strikers going to the body(peep the Yan fight) gas him out bad. Especially once the grappling is involved. Sandhagen's grappling is underrated. I think at this point he might be a better offensive grappler than Yan, at least is some areas(takedown wise, Yan probably better. Control and damage wise, give me sandhagen all day) but still. Also, O'Malley is susceptible to being beatup in the clinch, Cory is smart enough to know that and use it to his advantage. I find Lucas a funny guy, but he's clearly very recency bias, Sandhagen honestly has the better chance to win than O'Malley.

Also, Dustin's win against Justin was still a great win. Justin only had 1 loss at that point and still had a lot of hype coming from WSOF. Justin did get a lot better, but even when he was more reckless, he was still a killer. As far as I remember, Islam beat a 22 year old Arman on short notice. I wouldn’t say Justin is a harder fight for Islam. Dustin at least has a black belt Justin on the other hand is horrible on the ground. If Islam gets Justin down once that fight is more then likely over.

Sandhagen has really only lost to legit world champion caliber opponents from Aljo onwards, I know styles make fights but it’s hard to pick against him. Are we gonna say Umar’s as good a grappler as Aljo to fold Sandhagen in a minute and a half? A Sandhagen who’s probably gonna specifically train not to give the back or any compromising positions like that specifically for an Umar matchup?
