@@zoro8117 I think your in for a shocker. Not saying Mosvar doesn’t have better grappling… but let’s just say he did. This is mma not naga, adcc or ibjff. This is mma. Ilia has way better striking, let alone boxing. Mosvar chain wrestling is good, but his striking is not close to Ilias at all. I’m going to be honest islam was & still is my fav fighter ever since khabib, but ilia is the evolution of the sport. The next generation should you say. A boxer that can box like a boxer, with a canelo style puncher (high guard, heavy on working the body hook, power shots & going for knockout instead of points) Wrestles like a Eastern European (because he was), has jiu jitsu like any else. Muay Thai has seem to been his “weakness”, since he really doesn’t kick a lot (I just think he doesn’t have too), & has been knocked down by a simple Muay Thai fundamental, straight - lead kick. Yes you get caught but ilia needed to control his distance more, instead he crosses it. He’s obviously improved, especially with his fight against Josh, he showed how measured he can be. I think he learned from his fight against jai & realized when he should counter & when not too. Ilia is a real problem I’m praying for anyone who is fighting him, seriously… my condolences to who ever is next in his path. Trust me, I’m biased to grapplers & I like Mosvar, great wrestling in general, good grappler, but his striking isn’t all there & illegal or not, he’s been hurt. As a champ you can’t use these positions/rules as a safety net & pull off a aljo every time. People need to learn from Anthony smith what a real fighter looks like. I just don’t see Mosvar manhandling, ragdolling a other high level grappler who boxes like canelo, while the other doesn’t even look comfortable striking. Would be the best fight in the division so far.
