It's a long break for Izzy. He was respectably one of the more active champions, with 2 to 4 fights per year. So 5 months now but no fight scheduled could go up to 8 or 12 months before hes in the ring. Its just a change of pace since he's been way more active than other fighters over the past few years.

Adesanya is smart. The reason Strickland was able to walk him down is because he studied him for so long. He had no where near the same energy for Duplessis who was a virtual unknown in comparison.

If you go back and watch the fight, you’ll actually see he tried to set up Stirckland the same way he set up Pereirra. To Sean’s credit he remained patient. That’s why his win on Izzy is not as dominant as ppl think. I don’t like Sean but it was a fantastic performance tho ngl.

Nah i dont like that sean guy attitude but he is winning from the start. I have watched their match and from the start his stance and everything is always on top of izzy. Izzy cant push him back most of the match. The sean guy defense is just so good, his relfex to pairing/reflect izzy attack is very good. Again i dont like both of these guys and my judgement is not biased. Izzy is really experienced but from the start of the fight he look like he lack energy and spirit. Is he smart? Maybe. But human is not perfect. I dont want to argue whether he is smart or not because i dont know him but if you ask me which one did better in that FIGHT/MATCH The Sean guy did better infact so good that izzy cant do anything much except waiting for opportunity or waiting for Sean guy to make mistake which the sean guy did not make much, the mistake he did can be count in one hand and other thing simply cant intimidate him at all​@@albondigas9764

Tbf Izzy’s coach talked multiple times about how bad it is for a fighter to say no to a quick matchup when they’re injured bc it’s not “champ material” yet his own students in the ufc have done the exact same, as well as pulling out of fights they already accepted.
