It's nearly time for the Extension Floor to go in! -Self Build Extension -1930s Bungalow Renovation

Hey Guys,
Welcome back to our channel!
In today's video we dig out more of the ground so we can get hardcore back inside, we complete the blinding sand layer. Rhys shows how he has gauged his levels for ground height using his datum point. We are prepping everything ready for 7 cubic meters of concrete to be poured for the foundation slab in the next video. We love showing our project of building an extension an we hope you are enjoying it too.
What our channel is about:
We bought this semi-detached bungalow in August 2022 and given ourselves 3years to flip the property and sell on. We have a target budget of £70,000! Natasha is the editor and video maker, while Rhys is the builder (a carpenter by trade). We plan on doing 95% of the work ourselves to keep costs down.
This channel is for documenting our experiences - Good or Bad. This is our first time doing anything like this with full times jobs! Can we stick within our budget? Will the building inspector pass each stage? and the biggest question...will we still be married at the end of the project? Subscribe to find out...

Hi both. Will you be installing dedicated sound proofing between your and the adjoining property , I understand that the lower it’s installed the more effective it is , and can mimic the effect of being detached . And of course is beneficial to both parties Kind regards 👍

We haven’t really thought about it too much just yet, I plan to use insulated plasterboard and a layer of fire board on the party wall where the new valleys ceiling is, but apart from this we’re not sure yet 👍

@@Selfbuild_TheJenkins definitely that will help without a doubt , what I’ve seen seems to be about making an air cap but using fix that don’t transmit low frequencies . Kind regards
