Joe, your channel ALWAYS makes me think.....this story touched me deeply. I appreciate all the hard work you do for our Savior and for us. Me too.....running a very hard race right now. Please 🙏 for me. I am a recent widow and I own home I have not been able to live in for a little over a year, due to flooding. I am not behind on the payments...I will be out of the hotel a week from tomorrow. I have been hospitalized due to pneumonia- I can't breathe the air in my home. The contractors have robbed me blind, it's been difficult since my husband has his accident. He had a TBI and a broken neck after 360 in the hospital he passed. $$ bills are piling up. I feel lost.

I'm 59. I've been blessed to be able to retire at 53, have three beautiful children, nine grandchildren and one great grandson. I've go so much to live for, yet if our Lord decides to take me home this morning, it would be the greatest gift I could ever receive! To be with my Savior for eternity.....the ultimate prize ❤❤

Wow, just wow. He might have left behind the temporary glamor but nobody will steal his reward in heaven, that's for sure. Amazing fella, respect!

This video came through just at the right time. I had been thinking for a while what it really means to be a Christian. What it costs. And some really harsh questions were made. Are you willing to be alone? Are you willing to live a mundane life? Are you willing to have no friends? Are you willing to have no family? Are you willing not to be the center of attention? Are you willing not to make worldly success? Are you willing to be long-suffering? Are you willing not to take revenge? Are you willing to forgive? Are you willing to deny your flesh? Are you willing others not know about your existance on this planet ? Perhaps, never? Are you willing to be forgoten in this Earth? Are you truly, truly willing to let God be your only hope and source of fulfillment? -I said what i said, i don't even know if it was me. But it is true. This christian life is not for the weak. It is not an aesthetic. It is not a trend. It is a living sacrifice made unto God each and every second of your life. I'm not saying it is all terrible. Nor that every christian ends up like this. I'm saying, unless you are willing to truly give up all as if you were really dead, including those closest to you: No. You cannot be a real christian. Jesus said it Himself: "Everyone that loves their mother or their father mkre than me is not worthy of me. Everyone that loves their son or daughter more than me isn't worthy of me." And if you're thinking about this and conclude that the cost is much too high to be payed, that every single thing i mentioned and even more that is being experienced by real people, in real life..., these things i ask you. What real success truly is? Is any source of fulfillment (other than God) eternal, like the rock and not like sand? If not, what is going to happen to that house when storms come in? Is it not going to fall? Is it not going to be destroyed? Yet the house on the rock will stand many storms. Please think about this.

One of the greatest examples of Christian commitment to Christ from an athlete! A great man of God! Athletes today should look to his legacy and example!

What an amazing story! When I was a child I heard my father mention the flying Scotsman but I never knew the story behind it. I’m sure Eric went to heaven to be with the Lord Jesus! Whatever we may gain on earth is not comparable to what awaits us in glory!!! Thank you Joe for that beautiful story!

Eric was a man that I admire for his courage to stand up for his Christian principles, even- to a bittersweet end. My Grampa gave up everything he had- alot of $$ to go to ElSalvador to be a missionary. He ran that mission for 42 years. He died last June @ 94. He never looked back.
