32" 1440p has the exact same pixel density as 24" 1080p. If you can handle that grain, you will be fine, especially considering many people sit usually slightly further from a 32" than from a 24".

I'd hate to see sub 100 ppi screens go away, unless Windows and legacy apps get real good at scaling all of a sudden. My eyesight is not the best, so 1440p at 27" is too small. Though 1080p at 27" is too big, so I guess no 27" screens for me.
@MuNky1022

@@ammakko Cool thing I mentioned about distance too then. 24" you need about 60cm/2feet to get ~40 degree FOV (LTT did a video about FOVs and TVS a short while ago - kzread.info/dash/bejne/eaKc2JWQdtHTeJs.html ). For 32" you go to about 90cm/3feet. So yeah, "slightly further" That said I personally sit closer when gaming (I don't do competitive gaming but I like immersing in single player first person games.) One of my best cinema experiences ever was Dune on Imax3D, where I couldn't see any edges without turning my head significantly. It was like crystal clear VR without any screen door. Anyway, personal preference, so I like engrossing at more than 40FOV, probably closer to 55+.
The issues you had with HDR at high refresh rates is because its not "okay" to have HDMI 2.0 at 1440p with 144hz or higher. Regardless of the actual HDR quality that the panel can offer (even if it was OLED). So we need to stop accepting 1440p high refresh and HDR monitors that dont support HDMI 2.1, cuz you will be giving away either HDR or high refresh rate.

I don't get the hate on 32" 1440p monitors. It's the same pixel density as 24" 1080p, which people are usually fine with. You're also more likely to sit further away from a 32" monitor versus a 24", making it look actually sharper.
Nice addition of the USB-C cables. My main issue with the M27Q I bought back in late 2020 was that it did not include compatible cables to run USB-C to USB-C Display cable, forcing me to buy a $20 cable since you need a specific cable and not compatible with the usual USB-C 2.0 cables that are with chargers. Given that I live in a third world country and salary, I'm not happy that I have to pay for an expensive type-C cable in addition to an expensive monitor (expensive in third world standards).
@FoxNZ
Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't really trust included cables, especially if it's supposedly made up to a high spec (HDMI 2.1, USB 3.0 etc.), since manufacturers, way too commonly, bundle up cables that are not even up to spec of the monitor's inputs.

Ultragear = Winning!!! Absolutely Gleefully content with my LGGP83A-B. 34'' QHD IPS with a perfect light curve, viewable from and angle. No tearing, glare, bad pixels, has great customization, only overclocks to 160 but really that's perfect for me. I was so happy with my Ultragear that I got a little bro for it for side tasks, LGGN650-B, (24'' HD IPS beauty i got in portrait top-to-side with the 34''). This is no Flex, i worked my ass off to build my dreamachine and they were not too expensive at for the time. 34 inch was $800 and 24 inch was $165. Both are Vesa mounted. Best quality under 1000 bucks for 4K jamming in my Opinion! GL all!
I know this is such a minor thing, but if I'm buying a "white" monitor, I want the bezels white too. You wall mount this thing and you'd be hard pressed to notice it's actually the white version from the front. I know you can re-skin bezels, but if you're going to have to do that, you might as well just buy the best bang for buck monitor and re-skin those bezels instead (should probably do that anyways honestly).

Been using a 40" 1080p monitor/TV for years as my main monitor, maybe because I've been using that size and resolution for so many years I'm used to it for the pixel count. Have been waiting on tech (and cost) to get a ~40" 4k 120hz+ HDR monitor to replace it, though I'd also need a GPU to be able to run that and my side monitors.
Liked the montage music :)

the 1440p comment reminds me of how staples in store only carried (or carries, dunno, but it was only a couple years ago) 1080p monitors, which i guess is ok on the like 21 inch model but i think it went up to like 36 inch and it was still 1080p. i wouldn’t use that if it was free because it would hurt my eyes too much to use it. i don’t remember trying to sell anyone a monitor very often, i think i mainly got monitor sales when someone came in wanting one. i have a 26ish inch 4K monitor and its… fine, a bit lower pixel density than i’d like, but it was probably my best option that wasn’t too expensive
This is the video I have been waiting on!!!!
Lol, when you were doing the CS:GO blur test, I was thinking to myself "what are you talking about? That's crystal clear". Whoops, that was direct screen capture, so I was only looking at my own monitor's characteristics. Once you switched back to the camera feed... yeah, that was quite blurry.

The cut to the In-Game footage is really funny because you can't see the blur he is talking about from a internal recording. on my screen, it stayed crisp in both clips :D
I knew what panel that was the second you took it out of the box. Asus uses it in the curved tough gaming monitor that is 32 inches. The extra osd features are cool though.
white is usually more expensive because it requires extra layers of paint, same reason why the razer viper is heavier in white and how most custom keyboards cost more in e-white/e-pink
This is literally the Gigabyte curved 32 in monitor with comparable specs and same problems. They just changed the branding.
If I could recommend an alternative I would vouch for the Dell S3422DWG. It is an ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor at 34". So its basically a 27" with another 30% extra length. It is able to do 144hz and push around 550 nits brightness on HDR. All of this while retaining 10 bit. The best part of it is that it is a VA (with all the perks such as great contrast) that still maintains an insane (for a VA) pixel response time. This means no ghosting, motion blur etc. Overall you will enjoy great colour accuracy (after calibration) with almost no visible banding. It is just a bit more expensive at around 500 USD. The difference in price I would say is definitely worth it.

I actually prefer the 1440p resolution on a 32". I have one of those Dell curved monitors and since I don't have room for 2 big screens, one of my other screens is a 24" 1080p. Since ppi on both monitors is almost the same I don't have any weird issues with things being bigger or smaller on either screens. Also, scaling on Windows still kinda sucks, especially on legacy software I sometimes use. Using 4k on 32" without scaling isn't really recommended.
My 48" C1 shows 8bit in Windows and it looks just fine

The stand not being sold with the monitor is them following the Apple trend of charging extra for things that would already be included. It literally is -$50 without the stand. You're just saying it a different way round 😂
So first with the front bezels being black on the white version of the monitor it would only make sense to get the white version if it is going to be visible from the back. If it was the same price then you might as well if you have a white theme but not if you have to pay extra for it. HDR 10 is the bare minimum for the VESA standard of HDR so ya about what I would expect. As far as the motion blur goes, did you disable motion blur in the game settings? Ya it is a VA panel and there is going to be more blur then an IPS which is going to have more then a TN panel but if you leave blur turned on in settings then even a TN panel will have ugly blur for high speed FPS gaming. I am sure you did but you did not show that you did so have to ask about that.
okay aside from the stand it looks fairly in common with the g32qc from gigabyte
I know they can't do much about the panel itself since they don't manufacture it, but they could've chosen a better panel. They're like 3 years too late with a product like this.

And I'm not sure why manufacturers including a bunch of e-waste with their products is a good thing - it SHOULD be a trend that a monitor only includes a power cable and nothing else. Have some kind of 'request a cable' service if you really want. But including loads of cables that aren't going to get used is stupidly wasteful.
No-no, let's not get this moornic remark slide. LMG is against not including STANDARD and SOLD EVERYWHERE usb wall wart or cable with devices, LMG is also against not including (also standard and sold everywhere) display cables... But not including a proprietary monitor stand that you can only buy from the display's manufacturer is a-ok because the display also has holes for VESA mount? Well, glad you're consistent and totally logical in your beliefs there, guys!
Personally, I really dont like curved displays. I went out of my way to find a flat UW instead of a curved one

@@brdnacer Gigabyte M34WQ if that's high enough refresh rate for you. I think I tend to see it go on sale for 400USD or so on Newegg as well.

Have you tried it, though? Just got the alienware Q-dot oled, and I actually love the curve.

Honestly, I prefer when companies don’t include cable when they ship their monitor. Because, I would just use my cable that I already have or bought new one and also they mostly send the monitor with 1.5 m cable which not even able to reach my PC.
Thats a Dell stand painted white. Even the quickrelease looks exactly the same.
that looks like a rebranded dell monitor considering the mounting for the stand is identical to dells
Can y’all look at HP’s new gaming lineup victus
