ISTDP - Ambivalent attachment - I am never enough | Dr Sia - Session 1

This is a mock therapy session based on a real session. The client is an actor, Dr Susan, who is on the team at this channel and has agreed to help me make this video. Thank you Dr Susan! The video focuses on a person experiencing depression and self-sacrifice. The session focuses on helping the client see the difference between self-sacrifice and self-care and helping the person learn about what psychological self-care means. As per usual, some of the client's comments and therapist interventions are not accurate or true to the actual thing but good enough as a learning tool!

Is the ambivalent attouchment visible at the point that she is anxious taking care of others (husband and Children)??

the attachment really becomes visible upon proffessional assessmemt but the behaviours may suggest that there may be something attachment related going on possibly.

That one should be Ambivalent but perhaps plays out a bit more like avoidant I perhaps! Thanks for commenting!
