Here’s some logic. Israel has greater claim to the land historically. The hamas attack completely overshadows anything the IDF has ever done. This guy single-handedly passed a message that millions of people hold in their hearts but don't have a platform to say it out loud. It was a powerful interview that will be remembered for life because it happened during a historic event when every word counts to awaken people. As an American, I'm really glad that this interview took place, and despite my differences with Piers, I commend him for inviting guests that other mainstream outlets are afraid to invite.

Yeah that was rather hypocritical. Piers had to ask the same question ten times, and he kept dodging it by asking Piers questions. Then when we tell him he had 30 minutes to explain his position and now time has run out he acts he was given unfair treatment. I'm not all that interest in that kind of person's opinion.

Piers acts like this whole conflict is because of hamas, hamas was created in 1987 before 1987 Israel was still committing massacres against Palestinians so even if Hamas disappeared there would still be no peace and Israel would still kill Palestinians as they were already doing before hamas was even a thing in 1987

Everything he said was debunked within 12 hours of this interview. It is now proven the attack on the hospital was perpetrated by a Palestinian group that is an ally of Hamas. Also as a South African, let's not pretend like Nelson Mandela was not called a terrorist. He was on the US terror list up until 2008. There are people till this day who feel he was a terrorist. Edit : it seems many people are missing my point. Which is the west in particular love changing the narrative as they go. Sorry to ask this, but: 1. What will you say if ten children in Ukraine were killed by a Russian attack? (Is it an act of terror or Collateral damage?) 2. Why don't you tell the Ukrainian people to leave Ukraine (who are living in dangerous areas) and leave to Europe? (And then they can come back after stopping Russia?) 3. If after 10 years Russia conquered all Ukraine, and after some time a resistance group started to fight against them, will you call this group as Terrorist (because they fight for their freedom and their land?) There is always a cause and an effect!! You can't look at the result without having a look at the reason that led to what happened!!!

He did have his own show, during the Egyptian uprising. It was highest rated show in the history of the Arab world. Then the military rule came and they threatened him and his crew and his family's safety, and he got tipped off by a friend that military was starting to move against him so he fled the country.

Jews were there first. Before Islam or Palestine even existed. Before 2000 years ago when BC turned to AD. they birthed Christianity in this land too, Jesus was a Jew. Judaea was taken by Persians and Assyrians before Islam came to exist 1500 years ago, but somehow it’s Muslims that think they are owed it back? What cause they wrote it into their newer book? Whose ancient religious monuments were Muslims worshipping in Israel? Who gave Palestine its name? Why does “palestine” mean “land of the philistines/invaders”? Before you even existed it was Jews in their own ancient holy land. Muslims are owed nothing and never were.

Never heard of this guy before - but he is knocking it out of the park, what an awesome interview. What is happening to our fellow human beings is unforgiveable and you can hear the desperation in Bassem's voice as he struggles to do what he can to convince someone, anyone that blowing children into pieces is WRONG.

He was called the john Stewart of Egypt. He had the biggest TV show back then 2012-2014 untill the Egyptian authorities stopped his show and fled the county for having an opposing political views.
