Because in the mind of every individual, they have already pre-determined what they want to believe in. Thus once a person re-enforce the idea what you prescribed to, even if it is ultimately proven false, that individual will take his/her word as the truth. But has anyone asked why does some Palestinian join Hamus. If given a chance, and why that I meant opportunity to lead a good live, an opportunity to fufiled their aspiration, who is the right frame of mind would join Hamus and put their lives in danger? There are many interviews of normal citizens on both sides. They don't hate each other, they wanted peace. They want to have a live where they know they wouldn't die due to unnatural causes. It is unacceptable. The annoying part for the Palestinians and ppl who are supporting is that in this case no one is willing to give any proof that this actually happened. If tmr the telegraph says you committed murder, will you family say oh no, telegraph has said it hence it must be true. Israel has killed many children, women, and men alike over the years. No one seems to remember or cares because maybe the telegraph doesn't like reporting that stuff.

To this day, they still claim a portion of Ireland as part of their United Kingdom, and up until the Good Friday Accords in the 1990s, they were involved in violent repression of the rights of the Roman Catholic citizens there.

@@Nahidx101I’m not well versed on it either but basically the people of Ireland were persecuted and oppressed by the UK and Britain, they were considered a lower person. Then in 1969’s around that time the IRA comes into play. IRA is a paramilitary right wing thing funded and supplied by Libya and Muammar Gaddafi. The IRA and the UK fight a lot which is called the troubles and there’s much violence and bloodshed until the Good Friday agreement around 1998. This is why we have Ireland, which is separate from the UK, and north Ireland, which is in UK control. This was also why brexit was a big issue because they promised in Good Friday not to separate Ireland and north Ireland but if the UK did brexit then Ireland would be in the EU while north Ireland wouldn’t and you wouldn’t be able to travel freely between them anymore. Basically Ireland was occupied and oppressed by UK so they fought back for their freedom and rights just like how Palestine is fighting for its freedom and rights for over a century ever since Zionism started in the 1880s-1890s.

you need to learn the difference between a hypothetical ideologies and prospected solutions. one isn't happening and is nonsensical nonsense and the other is a suggestion. one cannot 'suggest' something which defies chronologic possibility. but one can suggest something to be a futuristic resolution. happy to educate.

'imagine' and 'if' are by no means interchangeable, in fact, they are consecutives. and as for context, one must appreciate that what mohammad hijab said is hypothetical, metaphorical and untrue. what piers suggested was a potential solution, a prospect, a proposal, a possibility. that's your difference.
