I think people seriously undermine the reality of suppressing fire. Not only does it force stress on combatants, but it also weakens cover & concealment viability, and also causes extensive spalling/fragmentation which can inflict serious and or fatal injury. This is especially present in massed rifle fire OR even more so, larger caliber machine gun coverage. The higher velocity and heavier ammo can really send metal and infrastructure bits at extremely high speeds and potentially outright kill people inside.

good catch. but its not instinct, its procedure. that's also why they keep at hand distance to each other (as opposed to combat in the field like in ukr.). you have to make physical contact both for noice and also in case the other guy is in shock of battle etc. they operate a bit like a Millipede that can split into smaller bits to outmanuver a threat

IDF, they are very stupid. To fight only 3 Hamas soldiers, they deployed 1 F16 plane, 4 Merkava tanks, 1 Hamvee, and 30 soldiers. Meanwhile, Hamas only used AK 47 and 3 RPGs for each person.

The female soldiers are from the rescue brigade of the Homefront Command. It's a mixed gender unit who's primary role is rescuing both civilians (in case rocket attacks or natural disasters) and soldiers (during combat) from under rubble and collapsed buildings. When not dealing with rescue operations they mostly guard borders. In general, mixed gender units in the IDF aren't a maneuvering force, so won't be the first to storm enemy strongholds. They do security for the most part and some other things, like combat rescue in this case.

they wouldn't use it as rocket launching bases, they do use it for Gang wars and infantry combat, because when 2 infantry soldiers engage, then 9 times out of 10 the area has already been evacuated and bombed already, use your brain.

Weapons caches, tunnel entrances and rockets were found in schools, hospitals, apartments. Their headquarters is under a hospital. They want their citizens to die because it gives them international sympathy among leftist and Arab media

Also, the trust between these guys is palpable. You have guys checking areas with their guns or talking while others are suppressing windows and such right next to them. The amount of self-control, awareness, and trust you must have to not just focus in on where your bud is shooting is crazy. I guess its better to have eyes everywhere than on a single window in a place like that.

Or you're enjoying watching just one side only There are pretty straight soldiers vs soldier fights from cams from Hamas soldiers, and it's pretty grit sometimes how they ambush professional IOF/IDF soldiers. It's an interesting material.

About the apparent lack of IEDs: what if Hamas simply had no time to set them up? When Israel invaded Gaza, Hamas couldn't possibly know which routes Israeli ground forces would take in Gaza's very urban landscape.

Absolutely. Hamas expected the IDF to invade through Shejaiya neighborhood in the east of Gaza. They did not expect the IDF to go around the neighborhood and capture the coast which is why Israel has not seen big resistance in the initial weeks@@Danny-lr8qs
