He used to be awesome, hasn't done anything of real note in a long time. Massive respect for him though, was an insane fullback.

Sad he got injured and had to retire early, great step and had great pace in his prime and a massive boot from the back, like chris latham stlye

Happy retirement Izzy. Still remember how "peak Izzy" would have me at the edge of my seat everytime he touched the ball. He made being a 15 cool again. Thank you sir.

Will always remember his form in the 2011 RWC, he was white hot and major reason we won the tournament. Good retirement bro

Nick Herbison his knees fucked

Had a relatively short All Blacks career due to injury, but man he was some kind of special player. Beautiful balanced runner and had a hell of a step.

I'm lucky to be the #100 to comment on IZZY......We miss you on the field Dagg.....

Dagg and Ben smith are both great attacking players , but Ben smith is a much better defender , so I would put smith at 15

Apart from his 50/50 defence....his attacking style was off the planet which made him a formidable full black - exceptional hands and vision and deceptively fast - his positional play also showed a high rugby I.Q......phenomenal player and will be missed......one the the greatest full blacks New Zealand has produced......and the production line just keeps spitting good players out every year......🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thankyou Izzy!!!

His defense was on point. But Ben Smith’s defense at fullback is the best.

2 years ago he was the best. i don't think he's found much of that form since especially last year. for example only a couple of clips (2 or 3) a from the last year. most are from the world cup and the tri nations of 2010,2011,2012. i'd say folau or brown on current form are the best followed by halfpenny maybe as his kicking does him huge favours. to dagg's credit he is still a good fielder of the ball and has a massive boot. i think he's lost some of the magic we see above. hopefully he can find it again as he's one of my favourite players

This guy is an awesome player...... Under the high ball Big kick Attacking He seemed like he was a step ahead of the play, and had some great players around him. Did some amazing stuff for both the Highlanders and Crusaders as well. Good Luck
