I love how Makhachev always looks like he's tired unless he's fighting in the cage guy looks like he trains so hard that he's always tired, but somehow is demonic fast and never gets tired in the fight, I was surprised how Charles was breathing heavily in between rounds but Islam wasn't, since he never looks like that.

Charles pulling guard, getting takedowns and initiating clinches. attacking from the bottom and getting up. Islam had perfect absolutely fucking perfect timing, and almost didnt miss a single punch or strike. HIs throws off the rhythm step were perfect, no hesitaion. literally one step ahead. If any these guys really caught clean, the result of the fight is exactly that. Islam would have tapped too if he had gotten caught with the same punch. Not even defending oliveira here, cause if you thought that was nothing special... you def didnt appreciate what you saw

I think people are exaggerating how one-sided it was- Makhachev was dominant, but Charles still stood a chance. Oliveira was being tricky on the ground. Champs can come back and avenge themselves on rematches. Any athlete knows that you will have different energy and different performance on different days. I’m hoping he can get the rematch.

Good we had decent judges for once, recognizing takedowns means nothing if you don't do something with them and Petr did no damage while Sean was down. I agree, for people to call it a robbery is saying it wasn’t even close, and we all know it was a close fight. If you look at the judges criteria for judging a fight, damage trumps all and control is last on that list to be judged. No robbery. Decision could of gone either way imo

Shane O’Malley took more damage every round. Or are you talking about causing a cut and losing before and after the cut? Exciting competetive fights aren’t coin flips a lot of the time. The mma media nobody scored it for O’Malley. In close fights people will see the fight for one or the other.

Oliviera seemed restrained compared with the bezerker fighting style we've seen from him over the last few years. Something was holding him back. Maybe getting his eyes fixed with the Lasik treatment has been detrimental.
