And now he feels like Adesanya himself is in the dark place, feeling off, and he thinks by taking such a big break Adesanya will just waste the great talent that he's got. Essas risadas do Adesanya claramente demonstram nervosismo.

I watched the octagon interview again and translated what he said with minimum adaptation. “Well, I'm not the type of guy to call anyone out, but I think that this fight would be interesting for me and would be interesting for everyone. He is a person who encouraged me when I was in a bar drinking, in a video he said that I would stay in that bar, but he rescued me. This guy also recently said that he won't fight until 2027, and I also like the way he rescued me, I want to rescue this guy, because he's a talent, he can't stay out all this time, it's Adesanya.” "With all due respect, I'm not going to do what he did, he made me do 3 fights to fight him. He can come now, let's fight for this belt. I know it's a little strange, the champion calling, but I have a story to get right." (or "to get straight", I don't know how that would be in english) And then, the “Hey Adesanya, come to daddy” part.

Pereira did that out of love. I wish he would've used Fabiano Buskei as translator, because that man is a master at interpreting words and sentiment, but I could tell he was saying something sincere. He wasn't hating. He was showing his appreciation to you and returning the favor, and then he was trying to light that fire under your ass with the "come to daddy" line. 😂
