@@singleturbosupra7951 It is exactly the same as "2" , "too" , "two". This is the problem. This isn't a problem of Fins, though, but it is an issue for pretty much everyone. I notice the Fins' inability to pronounce a lot of things, though, because I work with a Fin everyday. He is one of my favourite people ever.

It's always interesting to get a perspective from an outsider, and Finland is OUT THERE! This guy is one of my favorite comics now.

Well, to be fair on English, if you're pronouncing "obviously" without voicing the b you're actually mispronouncing it. Maybe the Finnish ear doesn't hear it?

Also E -letter change it own pronounance. "Emerengy" the E is ee. But in "Bee" the E-letter is not E, its ii. So correct form should to be "bii". Also "Alliance" hear same like "a lions"

One could be people constantly using words that do not exist in the language, twisting, shortening and just making stuff up. Native Finnish speakers usually know what the other means but it's quite hard for non-native people to catch on...

Eli kaikki numerot pitäs olla erikseen kun ne kirjotetaan sanoin. Vrt. neljä naista, neljätoista. Samoin Uusikaupunki pitäs kirjottaa erikseen: eihän me sanota Uusikaupungissa.

Dear Ismo, my favorite (?) confusing thing about English for foreigners to have to cope with is our weird-ass (yes, I've seen your spiel about 'ass') use of prepositions to create different verbal ideas. My nerdy parents and I had a long discussion one night many years ago about which verb could take the most prepositions to create new meanings. We decided it was take: take up, take off, take in, take after (which can mean 'resemble' or 'chase'), take down, take over, take through, take out (which at least usually keeps the meaning of take as in move from one place to another, unless, of course, take out means to kill...), take under (as advisement). Must be forgetting some... Of course, spelling is the other insane thing about English--even to English native speakers

Walking down the street, what if the street goes uphill 🤔 over there, over what? Articles are kind of funny too, an, a, the, etc. Those are hard for phonetic language speakers, where spoken word matches the spelling and you don't have to guess how to spell words if you haven't seen how to spell it.

English is the most confusing language (but not the hardest) i had to learn. Pronunciation and writing are disconnected like no other language i know. No rules, just memorize everything.

There are rules (especilly word order - which in Finnish is pretty free), and certain regularities. Just a huge load of exceptions.

Maybe you just think you are pronouncing it but in fact you are not. If you say it really slow, it might be there. In a normal speaking pace I doubt /daʊt/it.

Yeah, But when someone speaks English at good speed, and uses Obviously in mid sentence, it sounds more like ovsiously..it's not like the B is highly "promoted" in the word, unless you make a point out of saying OBviously..real slow.
