@@dezignateddriva that one is a bullshit... because when you write with a pencil, tiny bits of graphite break off. On earth it's no big deal, but in space they float around and get stuck in all the wrong places... soo... it sounds cool (dumb americans vs smart russians (smekalka, matj vashu)) but actually - not true...

@@dezignateddrivawhat people miss is that the graphite from pencils in zero gravity actually causes problems with electronics. The Russians don’t use them anymore.

I was told by an older friend of mine many years ago that when the things we think of as "rakes" were first sold in stores, they were called "lawn brooms", because a rake was that tool used to rake gravel by hand. But I guess some time later we started calling lawn brooms rakes, and referred to rakes as hard rakes.
