    I'm sure he's a master at audiences turning on him - and owning a statement immediately can keep the pace going. Granted - by now - people should know his style and not get butt hurt on anything he says - but - say - on TV or in a Vegas setting - he needs to nip it in the bud and call out the audience right away. Good point. He's great at what he does and goes there - and knows the consequences and deals with it head on.

    He’s so right about kids. No one disciplines kids today. It used to be that you didn’t want to get in trouble in school because you’d be punished there, and then when you got home and showed the parents that note, you got punished again. One of the reasons I left teaching is because if you TRY to discipline a child now, the parent comes in, rips you apart, prohibits detention, etc., and then is the first to blame you when their child gets a B on a test because all of the disruptions their child continues to cause prevents you from fully teaching the lessons. Teachers spend more uninterrupted time with the next generation than any other person, but aren’t allowed to do any of the things necessary to turn out an educated person, much less a good citizen.

    That phrase doesn't mean that 50 is literally 40. It means that 50 is no longer an age where women become "inivisible" like in the past. Example: Monica Bellucci playing a sex symbol in her 50's in a James Bond film, and she was even older than Daniel Craig.

    This aged so well considering the Johnny Depp Amber Heard defamation trial. "Believe all women. All of them?.....what happened to due process..." Love his take on all of that.

  • @bellabana

    @bellabana

    Depp lost his case in the UK because it was decided by a judge who said Depp was guilty of domestic abuse. Whereas in the US the case was turned into a circus, a freak show, decided by the media and public opinion so Depp won because of the jury who were in reality his fans. The online campaign against Heard especially by men including death threats was a complete and utter disgrace, shameful in fact. In any other normal country the case would’ve been thrown out and wouldn’t have even made it to trial. So now even more women in the US are afraid to report domestic abuse after seeing an abuser like Depp get away with it.

  • @viktormuerte

    @@bellabana if Johnny was an abuser why did Kate Moss speak out in his defense? How come Winona Ryder has also come out in his defense? Why has there not been a single ex girlfriend except for Ellen Barkin - who only testified to Johnny's erratic behavior - who has come out against him? You know that Amber has been accused of abuse in the past right? The kind of abuse you accuse Johnny of does not occur in a vacuum. If he has been abusive in the past, this would have come out already. But it never has. Is Johnny a saint? Hardly. Is he abusive towards women? No.

    @@bellabana So the one with the recordings of their abuser saying abusive hurtful things, the one who got their finger chopped, the one who was beaten, is the abuser, not the abused. Gotcha, so women are the primary perpetrators of domestic violence, considering how many of them get beaten, maimed, and verbally abused! Oh wait that's ass backwards and idiotic. How about listen to the evidence the abused brings out, and pay attention to the abuser grasping at straws, like their dog stepping on a bee, or clinging to some story about muffins. What's more important, dog paws and muffins, or mr man got his finger chopped?

    @@Sweatha44 no I’m simply not a Depp apologist like his female fans that romanticize him because they looooove his movies or a misogynistic male that hates women and believe women should be put in their place. That’s Depp’s fan base. Just because Kate Moss defended him still doesn’t change the fact he abused Amber Heard. That’s like saying because I wasn’t abused as a child therefore it’s not possible for other children to be abused, it’s a false equivalency. I think in years to come people will look back at the way Amber Heard was treated in shame, the mocking, bullying and death threats were beyond appalling. Yet the fact people now who think it’s deserved speaks volumes about them, that’s what’s truly shameful!

    Andy is extremely underrated as a comic and co-host… he’s perfect as his comments make sense and are timed well… he doesn’t always talk often but when he does it’s done with class, intent & purpose. I’d like to see him host another show of multiple guests but at the same time & coordinate the banter… he’d be fun to watch take the lead with other interesting & intelligent characters. I’m sure he has learned a lot from Conan & his own style would be great.

    Nothing away from Andy, he is awesome! But, sitcom is so easy / way much easier when you can just sit back and observe, without any need to force anything. Example, when Bill was on Conan and that batshitcrazy lady was in there too who yelled Bill to help with her coat - to take it off.. and then Bill said something about hey Conan i wonder why her relations dont hold up or sum such.. While Andy, and expecially Bill are way above from regular level - i can make these kind of "jokes" all the time too, being "sidekick"..

In a time of people feeling they have to be politically correct in place of telling the truth about a subject, Bill Burr is a breath of fresh air. His talk show appearances with Conan are all good.
