Just perfectly demonstrates that no matter the comedian and their style, someone can and will get rubbed the wrong way, not even by a whole joke, but sometimes just by a single word. It really invalidates all those who get offended and call comedians controversial.

@@hxtr-DH Well, books and covers, assuming and all that. We're not mind-readers. I even heard a TikTok from a trans-gender person describing that exact situation, where they are misgendered in a store and in everyday life, and they admitted that even though they know full well that it is unfair and downright unrealistic and even silly of them to expect people to possibly know their pronouns beforehand, they still feel a twinge, and sting. That it still hurts them a bit, and even though they shouldn't expect people to preemptively address them by their preferred pronouns, they kinda sorta DO. Now, this was just one person on TikTok admitting to that way of thinking, but we can safely bet that many more of them also expect others to be essentially mind-readers. And when we're not, they still feel hurt and even offended.
