Also, let's just remember the CONTEXT in which Jordan called him an asshole on TLD. They were talking about the game where the Bulls swept the Pistons out of the Playoffs, and the Pistons walked off the floor refusing to shake the Bulls hands. On TLD they asked Mike if he wanted to see what Isaiah had to say about why the Pistons walked off, and before he watched the video on the iPad he said, "...there is nothing that he can say that can convince me that he wasn't being an asshole." He was talking about that specific moment where THE WORLD WITNESSED ISIAH THOMAS BEING AN ASSHOLE!!! All anyone has to do is go back and watch the doc, and get the context. It wasn't like he called that man an asshole for nothing. Mike had his reasons. All this shit about "my nephew used to live with him and our families were cool," ain't got nothing to do with why that man said what he said.

@JD Michael Jordan is not apologizing to Isiah Thomas. He has been talking smack about Jordan long before "The Last Dance." Sorry Jordan is not thinking about Isiah and what he wants. He meant it, so move on. Two years straight the Bulls shook the Pistons hands to congratulate them on going to the NBA Finals. When the Bulls beat the Piston, the Pistons walked off without congratulating them-- then Isiah goes on "The Last Dance," and says that is the way it was done. You started the mess now be quiet. You disrespected the Bulls on National TV, and you never apologized so why in the heck should he apologize to you? NERVE and NEVER!

Really bro? Do you know why Magic and Isiah stopped talking? Magic contracted hiv, players were afraid to play with him, he had already retired from basketball, Isiah was saying he was probably gay publicly, to the press. Mind you Isiah and Magic hugged each other before playing against each other in the playoffs. They were actually friends. But what happened afterwards, the years of slander, when Magic didn't know how his health was going to deteriorate, when everyone except him thought he might die, that was objectively a hard pill to shallow. Whatever is left of that friendship is thanks to Magic's forgiving nature. That must have been extremely hard to patch up, as you say.

Well let's keep it real. He didn't call IT an asshole and say he hated him because of his personality. It was because of what IT led with the Detroit Pistons, the violence and non-basketball plays. The attempts to hurt players while playing defense. It's also driven by the unsportsmanlike behavior he and the Pistons exhibited when he walked off the court directly in front of the Bulls when the Pistons got swept. Acting like none of that stuff happened and Jordan is just being "mean" is the epitome of selective memory and selective outrage. That being said, Jordan in the same breath also gave IT his props and called him the second greatest PG of all time behind Magic Johnson. In other words, Jordan said exactly what he meant in that interview.

During THAT era, EVERONE played VERY physical... it wasnt until Jordan came into the league AND was LOSING EVERY YEAR, that the NBA CHANGED the RULES to allow his greatness to shine. Jordan IS THE GOAT... NO DOUBT.... HOWEVER, he did not get his team past the Pistons until HE started Complaining to the league AND going to the media to talk about the team he was LOSING to each year... The Business side of the NBA realized they needed to protect Jordan, so they DID change a lot of the rules... this is FACT... Does NOT negate the fact that again, Jordan was the best individual player I ever saw to this day... He was just as mush of an A-HOLE to his team as he thought Isiah was... This is ALSO FACT... That era was physical.. check out film of Boston, The Lakers, The Celtics, and YES, The BULLS before the rules changed... Guards DID NOT GO INTO THE LANE without getting crunched... they KNEW most teams INCLUDING the BULLS had a NO-Layup rule... Again... Jordan was and is still the goat... BUT he leveraged his talent to force the NBA to change the game for HIM... His legacy is 6 RINGS... But his legacy is ALSO one of HIS being what he calls others...

I think Zeke is more sensitive about this because of how fans and casual observers feel about it, than because of anything that happened with Jordan. If he doesn't want to talk about it, he should say no comment and move on from it, that would be the more mature route. No one is saying Jordan is perfect, or that is feelings about Zeke are validated. At the same time, Jordan has spoken about it a handful of times, but Zeke discusses it a couple times a year, it seems like. That's on him.

Jordan is working behind the scene maligning him. If Jordan looks down on Isiah Thomas as most Jordan fanatics think so, why won't he leave out Thomas' name out of his lips like he's doing with Charles Barkley the past decade? It is because Jordan is milking the one time Isiah Thomas walked out on him. Jordan is an A-hole and an Uncle Tom. Jordan wants to talk smack to people but he doesn't want them to talk smack back at him. Well, not all people are slaves of Jordan, like his fans.

They ask him about it often. And also this man was stripped of a chance to Represent his country after missing it due to politics (1980 Boycott), he got a right to dislike it. And clearly MJ has apologized behind closed doors or through friends and he's saying that if he feels that way then say it publicly like you publicly talked shit about me. That's all. Isiah and the Pistons don't get enough respect.

That's a grown-ass man there, saying what he means, and, meaning what he says. I knew, way back when it happened, that the type of pettiness that is required for a person to do what Michael Jordan did to Zeke, concerning the Dream Team, in such a "not public"/public way, meant that Mike is a conniving, deceitful, vain individual, who might be the greatest basketball player to ever lace 'em up, but, as a human being, money has turned him into an overbearing, unrepentant a$$hole, much like Donald trump, who can afford to keep yes-men around them, staying insulated from accountability.

Then the whole thing happened with Jordan saying he wouldn't play in the olympics if Thomas played which really took it to another level. When Isaiah walked off the court after the Bulls finally beat them without shaking anybody's hand that was something the Jordan would never forget or forgive. By the way, Isaiah is not obligated to answer questions about Jordan, he can say, “not answering that, next question”. The man said what he said, he is standing on it Isaiah. MJ was just honest about how he felt at the time following the walk out incident. So there's no need for him to say I didn't mean it. I'm sure he's indifferent now but at the time that's how he felt and there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure many ppl felt the same way about MJ .. they just never expressed it. Also for completeness sake MJ also said that IT was the second best PG ever in his opinion .. so there's an element of respect also.

I've always thought Isiah's resentment of MJ originated with Bobby Knight, his college coach at Indiana, lavishing the highest praise imaginable on Jordan after coaching him in the 84 Olympics. Knight stated MJ was "the best damn basketball player I've ever been associated with" or something to that effect and publicly urged his GM friend with the Portland Trailblazers to draft MJ even though they already had Clyde Drexler. When MJ entered the NBA, Isiah was three seasons removed from playing under Knight at Indiana, where Isiah was and still is the greatest player in program history.
