Because MJ had the last laugh and Isaiah salty! Isaiah ALMOST had a 3-peat in Detroit. Champions in 88-89, 89-90, crushed Jordan so he hit the weight room and came back the next season ready to catch BODIES. And so then in the playoffs that season, Isaiah lost to MJ & Chicago before the 90-91 Finals against the Lakers, ending Isaiah & Detroit chance of a 3-Peat. Then Mike GOT the 3-peat, immediately after he stopped Isaiah’s. Then went and played baseball. Then came back and got ANOTHER 3-Peat. Cmon man Isaiah is MAD salty.

Iverson had the speed to go outside the box and bring it back in. He had a peek a boo. He showed you the ball and made it appear sloppy and unorthodox, just enough to bait you to reach for it, then he attacked you. Sorry, but you know nothing about crossovers then. The point of a crossover is to make your defender think you're driving one way, but you crossover and go the other. It's not meant to appear sloppy or unorthodox..it's a slight hesitation to sell the drive
@southpaw3199
Жыл бұрын
@@jaeaustin7362 actually you are reading that without applying actual basketball knowledge. You don't become Allen Iverson by being sloppy. It's the appearance of sloppy, relaxed dribbling that causes a defender to reach not only to go one way. His heezy was a thing of beauty and his crossover was not clean and tight like Hardaway's which was text book. He added sauce to it by putting the ball far and out from him while having the speed and precision to quickly change direction on you or freeze you up.

I used that crossover. It very effective in creating driving lanes and moving your defender. It has a small pause in it that can freeze your defender also and you can be moving all at the same time. Other crossovers you had to kinda stop to do it. Not this one. You can create so many other move off of it especially if you're ambidextrous and can shoot with either had... deadly
It also helps that he was carryin that thing every time he crossed lol.

Zeke was my idol as a kid. Rod Strickland has decent handles as well.
