    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have been turned away or passed on by several medical professionals because my injury and situation is uncommon. It is a relief to find information that is easy to understand.

    It is good to know this. What would one do about impingement? Surgery? Physical Therapy? Cold packs?

    Cold packs and physiotherapy initially... Hopefully u won't need surgery after that... Otherwise last option is surgery and physiotherapy Injections are also there

    Very timely for me - just finished a steroid pack along with pain meds and muscle relaxant. Pain is gone, and function has somewhat improved, but the function has only gone up to about 50%. But that's better than about 5%.

    When looking at frozen shoulder, how does a tear or impingement come into play? Would the same tests apply?

    Help!!!! I'm positive on the 1st test - can't lift my arm (forward flexion) beyond 80deg. But I can do the 2nd liftoff test with slight pain when resisting a downward push on my hand. I fell & by reflex outstretched my arm to buffer the fall few days ago. what's the probability I have torn a ligament?

    My pain is down the back of my left arm. Going on now for 4months. Hurts to lift my arm up to a certain degree. Pain isn’t directly in the joints. It’s in the meaty part of the back of my arm. Is this impingement?

    Just FYI, sound is a bit muffled. Also, seems 2 b very informative, meaning I'm gonna try 2 self diagnose my shoulder 2 elbow [[@times; elbow sore 2 the touch]] pain. Maybe: bursitis/tendonitis which oftentimes acts up @ night. Idk - weird or normsl??? Well see, once I review & check out ur video properly! Thnx 4 info! PS: no broken heart. Thnx god...

    Impingement is usually caused by impenitent of the m. supraspinatus, but the lift off test is used for testing the subscapularis muscle...

    Do you think this can be caused by always sleeping on the side?

    @@momsterzz usually it doesn't harm much sleeping on the side of your shoulder is healthy and pain free, but if you have pain or injured, then it usually arggravates it further.

    So how do you correct the impingement?

  • @BrodeyDoverosx

    @BrodeyDoverosx

    Kimberly Porch therband shoulder exercises within the range of motion that doesn’t cause pain. Do the exercises without the bands and work through the ROM. Main thing is to get a stable shoulder that opens up the joint throughout its rom.
