Is Your Child Anxious About Leaving You? | Separation Anxiety in Children Malayalam|Dr. Mary Matilda
Young children commonly exhibit 'separation anxiety', which is the fear of being away from their parents or caregivers. Parents might find it quite stressful to deal with it. Nevertheless, the child's desire to be with her close ones is a developmentally appropriate need. How to deal with separation anxiety in children? Contrary to popular belief, it is not practising separation and becoming habituated to it that helps children to overcome such anxiety. What children actually need is as much closeness to their caregivers as possible. However, there can be daily circumstances that lead to the child and caregiver being apart. In this parenting tips video, Asha suggests ways to handle separation.

Dr. Mary Matilda is the former Principal of Maharajas College Ernakulam. She is a well known motivational speaker, corporate trainer & life skills/soft skills coach. She has Master’s degrees in Mathematics (MSc & M.Phil), Education (M.Ed), Business Administration and Management (MBA), Women Studies (MWS), Applied Psychology (M.Sc), and Ph.D. in women’s studies. Hi mam, എന്റെ മോന് 1yr 3 months ആയി, ഒരു വയസു വരെ മോൻ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, അത് വരെ breastfeed ചെയ്തായിരുന്നു. ഒരു വയസ് ആയപ്പോ അവനെ നാട്ടിൽ അമ്മയുടെ കയ്യിൽ നോക്കാൻ ഏല്പിച്ചു ഞാൻ ജോലി സ്ഥലത്തു വന്നു, മൂന്ന് മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞു എനിക്ക് അവനെ കൂടെ നിർത്താൻ അവസരം കിട്ടി, അവനും അവന്റെ അച്ഛനും ആയി സൗദി ക്കു കേറി വന്നു, എന്റടുത്തു തീരെ വരുന്നില്ല. വിളിച്ചാ നോക്കുന്നില്ല, പാല് കുടിക്കാൻ വിളിച്ചിട്ട് വരുന്നില്ല. കരച്ചില് തന്നെ. സ്ഥിരം പാടാറുള്ള പാട്ട് ഡാൻസ് എല്ലാം ട്രൈ ചെയ്തു, ഒരു രെക്ഷയും ഇല്ല. തൊടാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല. 😭
