Is whitewashed MCM the new style?!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Join me in this makeover of a MCM Bassett dresser set into something a little bit different. I don't see light MCM dressers that often so I thought I would give it a go even though it's not my favorite it could be someone else's. I am happy with the way tis one turned out but It is definitely not my style. Let me know in the comments below what you think, and I'll see you in the next video!!
Profit Breakdown:
Purchased for- $40
Materials used- $35
Selling for- $575
Profit: $500
This piece is still sitting in my spare room and not much interest. What do you think should I repaint it a darker color to get some more interest??? Let me know in the comments!

I like this one, tasteful and not overworked. I think lighter colours can have less impact so maybe it’s a smaller market where it has to fit in with existing colour schemes rather than standing alone? Maybe restaged against a white/minimalist background so it stands out more?

Yeah that’s a great idea. It still hasn’t gotten any bites so I’ll try different staging locations

Just found your channel, The Mid-century title caught my attention. I typically build Mission / Craftsman style furniture. With that said we do have a Mid-century spare bedroom in a 160-year-old house. If your piece has not sold, I would just restage it. Doing that emphasize the build quality of Mid-century pieces. Wonderful content.

Enjoying your channel. I really like the light look on this piece. I use that same touch up kit, it's a great product isn't it. Why don't you use a drop cloth under your piece on the driveway when spraying?

Thanks! Yes I love this paint touch up kit. I usually do use one but this one I felt like it was high enough from the ground to not get paint anywhere.

It looks reaaly nice but, without hardware, it's completely unremarkable.
