Damaged beyond repair? // DIY White Washed Dresser

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Join me in one of my biggest transformations yet. I had the pleasure of working on a piece of furniture for a friend of mine. This dresser holds so many memories and been passed down to many generations and hopefully more to come after this makeover. This dresser has been well loved and just needed some more attention to bring it back to life and that is exactly what I do here in this weeks video. Let me know in the comments below what you think, and I'll see you in the next video!!

How creative! It is so inspiring to see this transformation. The color choices blended together so perfectly. It really is a work of art. Those artist brushes are the life saver for sure! I’ve seen that stain over paint refinishing… it brings quite a dimension to the piece. Thank you for sharing this content. 🍃

The end result is gorgeous, my only comment was that you used the 123 primer which is water based, you really should use a shellac based sealer for potential tannin bleed and my other comment was why you used a oil based top coat over white water based paint ?The only reason I mention this is for all the newbie’s. The dresser looks beautiful and I’m sure your client is thrilled and they should be!!!! I enjoy all your videos.

Thank so much for the comment. I did decide to use the water base one because although I thought I may have a small amount of bleed through I knew this primer would block some and I needed up not having any if I was more worried about it I would have used the oil based one. But good point
