READ MY LIPS, NO NEW INTERNET TAXES
Tubi is my 'go-to' streaming service, primarily for movies. Their user interface has gotten very easy to navigate and their movie selection keeps improving. Summer Movies - Time Bandits, Dr. Strangelove, Vertigo, Pale Rider, most of the 'James Bond' movies.
I use tubi for both on demand and live tv but I just wish tubi had more cartoon live channels
I watch Pluto. I love the live channels I watch everyday. Blue Bloods, NCIS and ION. Thank you for all of the help with cord cutting.
The people in local government should take a pay cut if so-called "revenue" is down.
I watch Tubi a lot, and always on demand. I like that they have the best selection of British shows. The Tubi ads are quite bearable - not too frequent or intrusive.

But they keep running the same ones over and over. These services need more sponsors so we don't have to watch the same three or four commercials.
I go to Tubi for on-demand content. Usually to find a movie.
Monumental was NBC Sports Washington. Before that they were Comcast Sportsnet. If you go way back, they were Home Team Sports. I used to watch Orioles games on HTS on the backyard dish in the 80s and 90s. As for FAST services, I watch Tubi on demand and tune in to Pluto for live channels (Perry Mason, Andy Griffith, etc.) for my background noise.

I forgot about HTS.......but isn't that now MASN?......which is the 'eternal money tree' for the Angelo's family......but just wait until the Nats are able to leave that network and either go to monumental or start their own, MASN will be crying

@@ptman088 No, MASN was formed when the Nationals moved from Montreal to placate Angelos (both clubs own a stake, but the Orioles' share is quite a bit bigger). That's when the Orioles moved from then-Comcast Sportsnet. Somewhere around the time the Orioles sale was being discussed there was some talk of Rubenstein possibly selling MASN to Ted Leonsis, who owns Monumental. Don't know if that will ever happen, but you never know with new ownership. I presume they'd be merged.
I watch Pluto live.i think it's the best..tubi does have good movies ..I enjoy classis and tubi has a better selection..
I prefer Tubi's basic approach. Note that after a brief interruption, Tubi returns us to our last position. Which means if my wife was watching live TV, I can be dropped into her spot. Which is really annoying. Thanks for your service.
I wouldn't say it's the best service because a lot of their movies are genuinely awful, but we've been using it more than we used to.
@pongchannel.

But a lot of paid services also have awful movies tbf

I would say The Roku Channel and Pluto TV are better with live channels. I even think Roku Channel would be more popular if people knew that it was available on Google TV and FireTV.

@@pongchannel. Very true! 😊👍👍
I think a lot of folks use Tubi, which is great, for movies/ on-demand and Pluto if they feel like flipping through channels.
Tubi has a lot less ads than other ad supported services. Also they interrupt the content at appropriate times not in the middle of a scene or conversation.

I have cable TV, but I watch Tubi on days when there is nothing good on TV (like around holidays, when most channels air reruns). I agree, the frequency and length of ads on Tubi is very tolerable. I use those breaks as an opportunity to go to the bathroom or to grab a snack. I also like how there is that circle on the upper left corner showing how much ad time is left. Oh, and I also appreciate that the ad breaks happen at appropriate times. I find Freevee nearly intolerable, because the ad breaks happen mid-sentence.

@@hamsterama Also Pluto tv is horrible for ads. Seems like British Antiques Roadshow has ads every 5 minutes.
Pluto for livestream. Tubi, freevee etc. for on demand.
I mostly watch on demand on Tubi. Rarely use live option.
My favorite Summer movie is The Sandlot. I like Tubi as their graphical interface is easy to use and search. It makes it more enjoyable to use.
Lonesome Dove is a great looong movie. 🤠
I like the on demand when watching a TV series 👍👍
Tubi is an excellent service and I’m surprised it’s still a free service. I use it more for live TV for watching local and national news. They have great on demand content as well with some of my favorite classic movies and TV shows. My favorite summer movie has to be The Burbs with Tom Hanks.
I use Tubi daily. Use the live channels probably a bit more than the on demand, but use both. The reason I use Tubi over any other free service is simple - the advertising is not invasive. I LOVED Pluto until about 2 years ago, now it's just overrun with ads to where it's not worth the watch. Example: Yesterday I decided to watch RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK on Pluto. I tuned in, then looked at the timeline. 11 ad breaks were listed... 11 in a 2 hour movie. If it was 30-60 seconds like Tubi, that would have been excessive but tolerable. However, the first break ran 9 ads... and ran me off the movie. Watching their MLB Games channel (which is great), they insert ads on occasion within a half inning (meaning you might see 2 outs then a commercial before finishing the inning). That's not only silly, but just anti-how people have watched baseball for the last 50+ years.
Luke asks a lot of questions. I'll take the first one. Tubi is an excellent channel. I use it to watch movies. Those live channels can be found almost anywhere now, with a smart TV that is or a stick, and of course you're not going to get tubi without. Sorry about your issues today on your video Luke.
Tubi for on demand, live tv to hard to set up favorites. Pluto for the live tv. Easiest one to use. Next is ruko live tv.
Summer movie, second hand lion... the best!
Xfinity is starting a bundle, saw the ad today.
I rarely watch Tubi unless I end up there from a FireTV suggestion. I prefer going to the specific streaming service. I can answer the live TV vs on demand when it comes to Frndly TV that I use a lot. I tend to use the guide for the live TV or the DVR recordings the most. I occasionally use the on demand. I also have been watching Hulu a lot lately.
I like the ad free tubi
I watch both live and on demand roughly equally. But much of my live watching is OTA channels.
When it comes to free ad supported services like Tubi, Pluto tv i like the live tv. sling free streaming service is becoming my love favorite service. these service is great to watch over the summer when their isn't nothing on to that is worth paying for tv.
Tubi has a lot of great nostalgic TV shows (RIP The Jetsons 1962): Family Affair, the Scooby-Doo shows, Speed Racer, Transformers, GI Joe, Jem, The Care Bears Series (Nelvana)...
i use tubi tv mostly for on demand british programming. I use it often since i'm an anglofile. Same for pluto.
RSN used to be Fox Sports NE, or SW, or NW, named for the specific regions each channel represented
Whenever I can't find an obscure, so bad it's good movie Tubi has it. There's ads but they don't pile them on until you say to heck with it and find something else. There's always something else, these services need to remember that.
When I watch free ad supported streaming services, it’s definitely in the foreground. If I want background sounds, that’s what Sirius XM is for.
I watch a lot of Tubi, especially Australian, New Zealand and UK series (on demand).
Tubi advertises it's unique and cool content on the home page of Roku all the time. I click over to it more than any of the services I pay for. Mostly it's on-demand that I watch, but I use it for streaming channel back-ground noise during naps (the best!) =)
5 Movies for the Heat Dome Duration: The Burbs, Summer Rental, The Goonies, Flight of the Navigator, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, + one extra --> They Live (1988).

What happens when you run out of bubblegum? 😉
No way taking internet, is like stating taking how much water we drink or oxygen we breathing!! That is insane 😢
Pluto-Season 1, Season 2 on Paramount - that's ok - from free to paid. However, 4 Seasons of a show on Paramount - they move season 1 to 3 to Max - from paid channel to another pay channel. Hulu on demand standalone channel (not Hulu on Disney) - also moved earlier seasons of a show to Max - so from paid - to paid ... I don't like that trend, it's a tricky way to get you to pay twice for the same show.
If local governments lose revenue, they should do what I do when my income goes down. Spend less
Enjoy KZread and Tubi the most, but there are others.
I watch on demand on Tubi and other FAST.
Question for Luke: What is the best, easiest, cheapist way to watch Major League Baseball this summer and then NFL this fall and winter including the superbowl? At the moment I have Peacock and an antenna. The weather and far miles from any tower affects the reception of NBC and CBS a lot for me since I am at least 65 miles from a tower....so it's sketchy antenna viewing. Thank you! You are doing a great job keeping us informed!

Make sure to watch tomorrow's video, I will answer your question at the end.
I use Tubi often
I do watch the live channels, I'm mainly watch Roku channel, some Pluto TV and I want to watch most sling free
I watch on demand. Tubi, for me has the best free content. I'm sure they will start charging soon 😢
As far as the double tax goes, here's an idea, why Don't they do like the voters do when their revenue stream is reduced, CUT THEIR SPENDING.
Fubo expensive
@JohnPollack-em8xj

Fubo is cheaper than cable by a lot. I save 40 dollars a month. The only 2 streaming services that have RSN are Fubo and direct tv stream.
I live in the DMV & if I remember correctly it was NBC sports. However whatever name they are now they are making a HUGE mistake thinking that they are important enough, especially in DC, to charge what they are asking. The DMV is one of these areas where there are just way too many people that are from somewhere else and if they are sports fans they are still going to be fans of the teams that they always have been. I knows this is just anecdotal but from what I can see from whatever sports paraphernalia people display or wear maybe 1:5 is a DC sports team. I honestly don’t think there are enough viewers unless they are playing a really popular team to justify keeping the RSN here.
MASN-Mid Atlantic Sports Network
Mostly have the Americas Test Kitchen channel on
How do we protest any new taxes?
At the rate Fubo is losing channels, I truly don’t see them around 3 years from now.
Tubi is good has a variety of things to watch if you can stand some commercials. It's free. I don't know about there original fare. Taxing what a surprise, Not! Many can't afford internet.
How can Tubi be more popular than those other international Streaming services - its not even available on my ROKU Box here in the UK
How are they going to get these internet taxes? A lot of people in Baltimore get internet on their their phones. We would have more than Comcast if local politicians didn't look for bribes.
On demand is the appeal to all streaming for me.
Thank you Cord Cutters News. :)
Ohhhh...Network Unavailable is back boys lol!!! I was shocked to see it...

Good movie!
When I used tubi I use on demand and when I use Pluto TV I usually head towards the doctor who classic channel
I like the on-demand more than the other.
I use streaming services only for on demand content. I only watch TV when I want to watch something. I just don't understand those who just have the TV on for background noise. It makes no sense to me. If I want any background sound, I will employ music.
Tubi got awesome. Live is mostly sport.
Fubo will not last due to the current rising price, especially with the hidden RSN fees, as well as the dropped channels that are growing. The only reason Fubo is still surviving is because they seem to be the only legal option for RSN, outside of cable a/or Direct TV streams (my case Fubo Is still cheaper than both options to get ROOT SPORTS in Washington state).
Aside from Current Weather Warnings, I'm not really interested in LIVE TV. I'd rather watch content when it is convenient to me, rather than have TV shows dictate my schedule. As for Tubi, I've not really watched it much. Pluto TV captures my attention, more than Tubi.
So when times get lean we have to cut back. But when the government loses revenue they'll demand to continue to grow.
Tubi is good but the ad frequency can be annoying. It's great to find lot of content but the ad frequency ultimately brings down the joy.

I watch it during the day, they have fewer (and shorter) ad breaks during movies. Yeah, the ads can get ridiculous during prime time if viewing a movie. Pluto TV seems to have lots of ad breaks all day long.
Wish I could understand!tubi, roku, and all the others have the same channel’s!No locals either as I can’t get locals to far away, and my condo won’t allow a outdoor antenna,to me theses channels are junk tv,I just don’t understand the hype!so frustrating.
On demand
Was until they dropped Red Dwarf...now KZread is back to number one because I can watch clips (I never actually had Brit box)
I watch Tubi movies when I’m working. Just need background noise.
Out of the 5 movies in the show notes, I'd say American Graffiti.
Peter Pan and Wendy has a summer movie that I can think of
I know frontier refers KZread.
I watch Tubi a lot because they have old TV shows. I don't own a TV because there is nothing worth watching. I don't know abot on demand. If it is free then yes.
I wanted to watch The Maze Eunner last week - it was on Tubi. I wanted to watch a Doctor Who episode from the 1970s - it waa on Tubi.
isn't amazon prime hosting Bally sports starting next season?
Question for Luke, how can I watch all of the Chiefs games? I am in Alabama. Don't really care about any other teams.

NFL Sunday Ticket will give you most. The rest will need a live TV streaming or antenna.
NO MORE TAXES
Not a Tubi fan would watch Pluto. I watch more on demand no commercials!
Tubi “originals” helps them.
On demand for me all day
Taxing wifi "air" is the ultimate in govt. overreach. Maybe there is a case for wired internet ( but not double taxation) but old infrastructure replaced by new technology should be welcomed as a way to unburden the tax load placed on municipal taxpayers and hopefully a forced reduction of local govt. impact on affordable entertainment for their citizens.
No surprise that we might pay the same, but receive less.
Twister
NBC Sports Washington DC before Monumental Sporrs Network.
Watch on demand
I spend more time on KZread than on all the other streamers combined.
Hell no local governments shouldn't be allowed to tax internet, spectrum alrady charges almost $100 a month without promos
So this is interesting about government tax double dipping.... Kinda explains why large ISP's like AT&T, Spectrum, Comcast, etc. have to charge so much (or is it a win win scenario for the government AND the ISP?). I also wonder witch cities are really pushing for this tax, cause certainly not every city across America is experiencing the same tax deficit. This is where the FCC and Congress should step in and say yay or nay on these types of taxes (thats if those entities can be trusted). I do not feel that Internet access should be taxed the same as cable TV. It is not the same service even though major ISP's are using the same physical media to deliver multi-forms of services. It is, in theory, the same concept as individuals being taxed for trash pickup through their water company (or other utility) and then having to pay to have trash pickup because public trash services are not available in their specific area.
TUBI live TV about 90%
I use live tv
Masn ,nbc sports Washington
Jaws was the best summer movie
Jaws.
NBC Sports Washington
What did he say?
On demand. I hate watching live tv
I have said this before, FUBO needs to rename themselves to FUBAR.
